What are our loved ones that have died in Christ doing? Are they asleep or, are they at God's feet? Where can I find it in scripture, what they're doing until the rapture. I sing very often at funerals and I'm pretty selective about the songs I choose but sometimes I'm asked to sing a certain song, one in particular, "If you could see me now". As beautiful as it sounds, how true is it?

    Revelation 6:9-11
    Mark 12:18
    Mark 12:24-27
    Luke 16:20-31
    Hebrews 12:1
These are the scriptures I found hopefully it's helpful

In response to michelle: luke 23:43 gives us an indication. Jesus spoke to the thief on the cross and said "today you shall be with me in paradise" . It is my belief that when we die, if we are believers, we are immediately in the presence of our Lord. Side note: If I had been alive when Lazarus was raised from the dead, I certainly would have asked him about this. :

Thank you. That's food for thought. I love it!
