Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?

The only reason is to test your faith and loyalty. Take JOB for example

'Bad' things may happen to anyone. But no one is good but God. Romans 3:10

No one is good except for JESUS. He is the only one that never ever sinned. God accepted Jesus as the sacrificial Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. We live in a fallen world. Bad things happen to everyone. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We all need to be saved from spending eternity in the Lake of Fire. NO sin can stand in the presence of a holy and just God. When we BELIEVE that Jesus died in our place to pay the sin debt that we owe, then we are forgiven of past, present and future sins. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23. Only JESUS is good. He is God the Son.

Justin I do understand your Confusion. I felt very hurt by the heartache inflicted on me by others and physically I was suffering too. I had Repented and was not wanting to Sin and if tempted now I pray to be strong I Love my Abba Father and I dont want to hurt Him again or anyone else So why was I suffering He Lovingly responded in my Heart and Confirmed with Scripture and on this Website I have asked for His Wisdom and know when His Truth is shared If wanted I will share the Scriptures with you they are about Satan Testing us Accidents Persecution Chance and other things we experience in this fallen World that Satan polutes But there were more about Gods Love and this is a Reality for me.

When we see suffering, or we ourselves are suffering, we don't understand the full picture. God has compassion on all he has created. Sometimes it's up to us to comfort others as we ourselves have been.
    I Peter 4:12-19
    I Peter 3:8
    Jude 1:21-24
    I hope that helps
