Chapter 58 of Isaiah teaches us more about fasting and Monday through to Saturday are God's days for us to work and pray and prepare ourselves for Sunday the Sabbath or the day that is for God and we should be fixed on him. When the troubles of the world come against us we should not step back from them, but press forward and fight. Our greatest weapon is the word of God and the word is and should lead to our Worship. We men are made for War and therefore we are equipped with the tools spoken of in Isaiah chapter 58 to go to battle with. Give it to God and fast and pray and as the scripture says "Don't do it to be heard", which is fasting to be heard or seen and let us do the things of God not just on Sunday but from Sunday to Sunday. In ministry classes we were taught "Much Prayer Much Power, Little Prayer Little Power and no Prayer no Power”. So fasting and praying and seeking God and giving it all to him can and will set us free from the things that had us bound. Amen.
