    Eating raw or undercooked pork can expose us to trichinosis. Worms. In those days of history there was no refrigeration. God was protecting his people. If the freshly killed pork was drained of blood and then roasted properly..it could be eaten with prayer. There's info on how Temple priests killed and prepared animals for sacrifice.
