That is true, Lillian, we live in an age where the younger ones pay little regard to the knowledge shared by their elders. I suppose the divide is made even more noticeable as we are taught to think & act independently, we spend more time away from home & the outside influences that bear upon us, particularly adolescents, cause us to function more as individuals rather than a cohesive family unit. Even in Eastern cultures where once upon a time, this divide was not there, is now evident as the world generally moves away from strong family structure/bonding & accountability, towards independence from any authoritarian rule. And this of course, then converts to our attitude towards spiritual things, where there may now be no necessity for a belief in God, as many believe that 'god is within us' or, 'we are our own god'. Tragic!
