The point is middle. The forbidden tree is in the middle of the garden.

To be luke warm is to be in the middle.

Sj, do you consider the Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil to be a bad tree? I actually see it as a wonderful tree, it had lovely tasty fruit & Adam & Eve wasn't poisoned in the flesh by eating it. However, to be lukewarm as a Christian is of course a sad state to be in & one needs to get back to being right with God. So, how is the connection made between this good tree & a lukewarm/backslidden Christian?

Thank you, I didn't notice that before. Both trees, the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of Good and the knowledge of evil were in the middle of the Garden. I always pictured them as somewhere in the back, sort of out of the way, hidden.

I know what you are saying but I don't think that that has any particular meaning in this case. It is interesting that they would be in the middle and that may have made them easy to find; but apart from that. I don't see any other significant in their location; but in revelations; it specifically refers to the 7 churches I think, each having significant problems, none of them being true believers in Christ and God. They were sort of in the middle of the road; poor teachers; not doing the job that they should have being doing, sort of like the church when Jesus went there

Thanks again, it was very interesting and it is always good to learn I think. I don't know why I thought that they would have been sort of hidden. I don't think that God would hid these trees from man; but I think that He did with the tree of life from Adam after Adam sinned.
