    God preordained his son ,Jesus Christ disciples. The first Adam couldn't stop lying, when God ask him why was he and eve hiding, and Adam told God that they was ashamed because they were naked. God ask him who told you that you were naked?Adam reply was its that woman you gave me. When it was him God left in charge. We are all filthy lairs, Jesus fought suffered and died, so that we might have a chance at the tree of life. Jesus the second Adam that came from 42 generations to save Jews and gentiles if they were to accept Jesus as their Lord and savior; let's all be very careful in accepting the word of God as the truth and nothing else but the truth. In reference to Matthew 4

    Jim, the accepting of God's Word in its entirety as Truth, is paramount, not only for the way of salvation but the way we live in this life. However, I seem to read the Genesis 3 account differently to what you have written.
