After study, this is what I believe is described in the Bible. 2 witnesses = 2 olive trees, 2 lampstands, 2 prophets, 2 martyrs The Greek noun ekklesia (lampstands) literally means "an assembly of called out ones." The book was sealed because Revelation pertains only to World War 3. God wants World War 3 to happen because he anoints the 2 witnesses. The word “beast” is used in different ways in Revelation. The Sea Beast is the South China Sea war battlefront and the Beast is the Middle East war. The 7 heads are the nations with grievances that want the war and the horns are supporting nations in battle like NATO. Collectively, the Beast is WAR which is mortally wounded by PEACE and becomes alive again when the peace treaty is broken. So the 2 witnesses also die when peace occurs because they sign the peace treaty ending strife. The witnesses, unhappy with the terms of peace, again proclaim their cause causing war to erupt again and they are alive once more. People worship the beast because they are willing to sacrifice their money and the lives of their sons and daughters to sustain and win war. Therefore, the 2 witnesses are opposing sides of war, leaders in the 2 battle areas of WW3 that testify or bear witness to their beliefs. They proclaim their rights in numerous political meetings around the world attempting to reach a peaceful solution to their claims of land, resources and religion. They are clothed in sackcloth which is mourning over perceived injustice.
