I sometimes see a professed Christian acting in an unseemly manner. The ensuing anger and frustration in my heart towards them causes me to pray against them. Am I the "enemy "? Does this Psalm and implicit punishment apply to me?

    Thank you.

It will always come out favorably if you bless them and ask the Lord to keep watch BETWIXT you and that person.

    Matthew 5:3

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

    Matthew 5:4

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

    Matthew 5:5

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

    Matthew 5:6

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

    Matthew 5:7

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

    Matthew 5:8

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

    Matthew 5:9

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Matthew 5:10Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

    Matthew 5:11

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you FALSELY, for my sake.

    Matthew 5:44

    But I say unto you, Love your enemies, BLESS THEM that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

    Matthew 11:6

And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

    Matthew 13:16

But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

I tried the principal put forth in Matthew 5:44 and it works! Every time. Pray and ask God to bless them with a job promotion or an apartment with better amenities!

I could've shaved off years of resentment and depression; feeling opposed. Sometimes God just waits till we believe the scripture and use it.

Whenever we become angry, it is one of several indicators that we are not letting go of our own will. There are several indicators that let us know when we haven't given ourselves completely over to Jesus. That we are operating in our own will, instead of God's. Anger is probably the most prevalent of these indicators but there are others. Such things as pride, envy, and worry. Each person must contemplate and discern their own indicators. Knowing the signs of being in our will, instead of God's will, can indeed lead us to where we need to be. Instead of looking at anger and other indicators that we identify, as being a spiritual defect, look at them as tools to use on our journey to become one with Christ.
