    The Angel that wrestled with Jacob was an angel. Not Jesus. The statement itself tells you it was a angel. Not a man and not Jesus.

    In the Old Testament, when you see 'angel ( Angel) of the Lord', it is the preincarnate Christ, Jesus Himself. Unless otherwise named (as Gabriel in the book of Daniel).
