there is a verse or verses that pertain to the fruit of the trees being food and the leaves of the trees being our medicine. I think that I saw it in Isaiah but I am not sure but it had taken a profound impact on me. Are you familiar with anything in the scriptures that pertain to this?

Wendall, may the Spirit grace you with understanding, the scriptures referring to the leaves of the tree are in Isaiah 6 and Ezekiel 47 and Revelation 22. These are prophesies about the Sons of God (us). Christ is the Tree of Life; therefore, we also become trees (of life). John 15: Abide in me and I in you. At our physical death we (children or the resurrection) shall put on Christ (BECOME ONE). 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 ......the saints shall judge the world......know ye not that we shall judge angels... the leaves (us) of the TREE (Christ) shall be for the healing of the nations (all mankind).

Psalms 22:27 All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the saviour of all men, specially those that believe.

1 Corinthians 2:9 For it is written ( Isaiah 64:4), Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath entered into the heart (mind) of man, the things God hath prepared for them that love him.

Wendall, the Spirit of understanding be upon you, the verses you are inquiring about are in Isaiah 6 and Ezekiel 47 and Revelation 22. Christ is the Tree of Life; however, when we depart this flesh and are one with Christ we also become trees (of life) and will judge the world and angels and our leaves will be for the healing of the nations. May the Spirit grace you with understanding. 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written ( Isaiah 64:4), Eye hath not seen. nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart (mind) of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Revelation 22:2

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

    >>Wesley's Notes for Revelation 22:2

In the midst of the street - Here is the paradise of God, mentioned: Rev 2:7, Is the tree of life - Not one tree only, but many. Every month - That is, in inexpressible abundance. The variety, likewise, as well as the abundance of the fruits of the Spirit, may be intimated thereby. And the leaves are for the healing of the nations - For the continuing their health, not the restoring it; for no sickness is there.

    >>People's Bible Notes for Revelation 22:2

In the midst of its street. In the Revised Version this is attached to Revelation 22:1. It is the river of life that runs in the street. On each side of the river, watered by it, stands the tree of life . . . yielded her fruit every month. The thought is that it is always fruitful, not limited to certain seasons of fruit bearing. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. We are not to conclude that there were diseases to be healed, but that in the city were the means which banished disease and death." ( Genesis 2:10). Here there is a river, "clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb" ( Revelation 22:1) There was a tree of life in Paradise. In the New Jerusalem, on either side of the river stands the tree of life bearing twelve manner of fruits, or rather fruit twelve times a year, every month. The river and the tree are symbols of the life bestowed by the grace of God. The river flows from the throne of God and the Lamb; from the fountain whence life and immortality come. Everything about the tree is healthful. Even the leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is a book, a river and a tree of life. Christ is the life, and all refer in some way to Christ.
