My grandchildren are asking me how do I know that when I make my transition from this life how do I know where I'm going to spend eternity. I told them what the Scripture said, too be absent from the body I'll be with the Lord. Help me to explain to them so that they will understand. Thanks very much.

God has no grandchildren, each person must know him as Lord and Saviour for themselves. Other people cannot know your personal confidence with the same passion. Their understanding unto salvation will only come to them by the grace of God and that's what you must pray for. What you know is because God told you, and they also must hear God. The best truth you can tell them about what you know is "I know whom" 2Timothy 1:12

Sound doctrine was the commandment of God given in Eden, and Adam turned from hearing it, as also Cain turned from hearing God. So, since that time men reject God. However, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17 God is faithful to sow his word in this world. Romans 10:8-11
