Born again Christians, upon death: their flesh bodies remain in their grave (where they were buried, or wherever they died).

There is a scripture that "all souls belong to God".

Your born again spirit goes to heaven to be with Christ until the moment of the Rapture.

Then Jesus restores us to our resurrection body that is complete and will be with Him eternally, in Heaven.

Our faith in Gods promises is what accomplished that which is hard for us to understand now. Faith puts doubts to rest. Put your faith in what God days. Faith is strong and able to Rest in what God has said.

Remember Enoch? He loved God and fellowshipped with God. One day he just walked to heaven without dying...with his Lord. It was recorded in the Bible, so it happened. No body was found.

Strong faith in God will carry you through any situation. God spoke it, it will be done.

When faith wavers, run to the Lover of your Soul. He will never lose you or forsake you. You're not lost in a crowd. He knows right where you are.

Tell others what you know to be true. Be strong in His faith.

Barbara, may the Spirit grace you with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding. The traditions of man has distorted the true gospel. The traditions of man teaches heaven is a natural place with natural streets, natural buildings, natural walls and we exist much like we exist now; but the word of God teaches heaven is a person in a glorified body with no need for streets or houses or any thing existing in a natural state.

John 3:13 No man has ascended up to heaven, but he (Christ in the same glorified body he existed in as Jehovah in the old testament) that came down from heaven (and became flesh), even the Son of man which is in heaven (now back in the glorified body he had before).

Let's try to comprehend what is depicted as (spiritual) heaven (where the Spirit dwells).

1 Corinthians 3:17 Know ye not that ye are the TEMPLE OF GOD, and the SPIRIT OF GOD dwelleth in you.

Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the Lord (the Father), The heaven is my throne, and the earth (dust, flesh) is my footstool: where is the house that ye (Christ) build unto me? and where is the place of my (SPIRIT) rest?

Psalm 127:1 Except the Lord (Christ) build the house, they labour in vain .....

Hebrews 3:6 But Christ as a Son over his own house, whose house we are....

Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I overcame and am sit down with my Father in his throne.

John 17:21 That they ALL MAY BE ONE as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that THEY also may be ONE in us.....

1 Timothy 6:16 Who (CHRIST) only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto....

1 Corinthians 15:52-54 In a Moment....Death is swallowed up in victory.

Isaiah 26:19 Thy dead men (we are dead in our trespasses) shall Live, TOGETHER WITH MY (CHRIST) DEAD BODY SHALL THEY ARISE....

Revelation 20:5 .....This is the FIRST RESURRECTION.

Luke 20:34-36 .....Being the CHILDREN OF THE RESURRECTION.

John 14:2 In my Fathers house are many mansions...

When a believer dies, the body goes to the grave, the soul and spirit goes to God. Not all Christian believers will go up in the rapture or catching away as they haven't grown to that level. Some will have to endure the tribulation period of 3,5 yrs.

At death, a sinner suffers a threefold separation of his being:

his body goes to the grave, his soul goes to hell (sheol), and his spirit ascends upward to God. [ Ecc 3:21]

In the Old Testament Dispensation, upon the death of a believer, his body went to the

grave, and his soul and spirit went to Paradise, also called death and Abraham's bosom. After the Blood of Jesus was applied to the Mercy Seat in Heaven, the spirit and soul of a believer could go directly into the presence of the LORD ( II Corinthians 5:8).
