    I thought the bible said something along the lines of ye are proof of my bishopric. Can you recall this?

    There are a few Scriptures where Paul writes about his work among the believers, but I feel that 1 Corinthians 9:1,2 may be the closest to what you seek. There is a verse in Acts 1:20 mentioning "bishoprick", but that has nothing to do with what you want (it's a quotation taken from a Psalm).
