do you have to be baptized? John 3 talks about being born again with baptism of water and with the Holy Spirit.

John 3:5-7 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." Notice that Except a man be born of water; is talking about hat which is born of the flesh is flesh; born of water is the water birth when you were born in the flesh. not water baptism, baptism is not mentioned.

    Hi Laylee,

To me, the better question is why wouldn't you want to be baptized? If the Bible says to do something, shouldn't the normal response for a Christian be to follow it? In the event someone is looking to do the least as possible in order to just barely make the cut to go to heaven, is that a wise strategy and what if it backfires? These are the types of questions I would ask instead. God bless...

Who, does the Bible say should be baptized? Not to the Gentiles, although most gentiles get baptised.
