Like Sacha, I also begin my prayer with Dear Heavenly Father, or sometimes just Heavenly Father. When I am done praying, I thank Him in Jesus' name.
When I pray, I pray for the Lord's will to be done in whatever it is I am asking for.
I was taught that prayer is a means by which we submit ourselves to God's will in whatever it is we are praying for.
I believe that when we ask according to His will, we have a guarantee that our prayer will be answered. But just know, it's according to His will, not ours.
Hi Hollaye ,Luke ch 11 and Matthew ch 6 shows us the Lords prayer ,i can tell you what i do ,i start with :Dear Heavenly Father ,then i say thankyou for the things im thanfull for that day ,then imight ask God for something and i end with :Through the name of Jesus Christ ,others may do it very differently and hopefully some one else will answer your question also .
Hello, thank you for responding to my question, what you said makes sense. I just want to be closer to God and our Lord Jesus Christ, thank you again!!
Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.
