Do we have the holy spirit in us, when we accept Christ as our savior?
  • Earl Bowman - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 4 - 3 years ago
Kathy, may the Spirit grace you with His wisdom and His understanding.

2 Corinthians 1:22 Who (Christ) has SEALED us, and given us the earnest (down payment) of the Spirit in our heart.

Ephesians 1:13-14 In whom ye also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel (CHRIST IN YOU) of your salvation: in whom also after that you BELIEVED, you were SEALED with the holy Spirit of promise.

(vs 14) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

At the redemption (the death of the body of flesh) you will be given the Spirit without measure and a glorified body.

1 Peter 1:21 Who (you) by him (Christ) do BELIEVE in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; that your FAITH (CHRIST) and hope might be in God.

    CHRIST IN YOU

Galatians 2:16 .....but by the FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST, even we have BELIEVED (by his faith) in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the FAITH of Jesus Christ.....

Romans 8:29 For whom (you) he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he (CHRIST IN YOU) might be the first born of MANY BROTHERS.

The Bible from Romans - Jude are written to the people /churches that came from the book of Acts. These are those that are saved, baptized & Holy Ghost filled.
