The Kingdom of God is NOT referring to Heaven. It is referring to God's purpose for our life. Know the difference between Heaven and the Kingdom of God.

Just to add to this subject. As I also see the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven to be one and the same. Knowing also the details Jesse stated. As I was reading I just came across Jesus Christ using both terms coinciding. Matthew 19:23-24.

    God Bless.

    Lyndi,

That is interesting. Do you know why Matthew used the phrase kingdom of heaven, but Mark and Luke use kingdom of God? I was taught that both kingdom of heaven and kingdom of God are the same. But since Matthew wrote his gospel to the Jews, and the Jews would not say the name God (They say, Hashem, which means "The Name)," that is why Matthew says kingdom of heaven, and not kingdom of God. But Mark and Luke say kingdom of God because both their gospels were written to the Gentiles. Very interesting!

If I may ask, what is the difference between heaven and the kingdom of God?
