    Question: In Psalms 119 there are several verses that have one word (all caps) at the beginning of certain sentences What is the meaning and the purpose

    I looked into this for you Mary,

    Psalms 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible being 176 verses. It is divided into sections using the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. In which the first letter being Aleph then ending with the last letter Tau.

    Hope that answers the question about those words you see in that chapter.
