    Does God really punish people who repeat the same sins over?
  • Earl Bowman - In Reply on Revelation 13 - 3 years ago
    Vonetta, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

    Psalms 89:30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgements;

    Psalms 89:31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;

    Psalms 89:32 Then will I visit their transgressions with the rod, and their iniquities with stripes.

    Psalms 89:33 Nevertheless MY LOVINGKINDNESS will I not utterly take from him, nor SUFFER MY FAITHFULNESS TO FAIL.

    Vonetta,

    may Christ strengthen you in your weakness and give you wisdom and understanding of the word of God. If Jesus said we had to forgive our brothers and sisters in the Lord seven times a day than how much more will our heavenly Father forgive us. Being said that Jesus will forgive the same sin but he will expect you to learn from your mistakes. If you refuse to learn from your mistakes than yes he will refuse to forgive you of that sin until you learn better. Jesus said my spirit will not always strive with man. ( Genesis 6:3) There is a point where God will stop listening to a forgiveness of the same sin over and over again. So, pray for God to strengthen your weakness in that area. God be with you stay prayed up so you can go up

    God bless

    Cowboy
