What is the power of vision
  • Ronald L Whittemore - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Pastor Godwin

Visions are for one who can open the ears of hearing. Not the ears on the side of our head but the ears of our conscience (heart). "If any man have ears to hear, let him hear". When we do not open our heart with no preconceived ideas, thoughts, or answers we have decided on our own, we are closed to visions, we quench the Spirit.

We become like the house of Israel was when the Messiah was standing in front of them. "their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart"

A vision may not be some future thing, it may be a vision to change a part of our life, or our eyes opened to a deception that is being taught, our eyes opened to the true meaning of a scripture. The power of vision is our humbled heart open to the Spirit of truth and our willingness to follow the truth regardless of the price.

    Hi Pastor Godwin,

Seeing your question I guess led me to post these couple of verses that came to me. From another view point the Blessing we have of vision or "eyesight" is usually taken for granted. Though a blind person will have to live by all their other senses without "vision" and be disabled in some things.

Romans 8:24-25 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

As all we can normally see with our physical eyes is vanity. If this is the "vision" you were speaking of.

    God Bless.
