    Shalom Raul,

I just finished Solomon's books. He served both the Lord, and strange gods 20 years each. He is portrayed as great statesman, vast in wisdom, wealth and power. Solomon sinned greatly against the Lord, the betrayal was blinding. Turning away from God to seek wisdom makes for a tragedy. From idolatry to marrying 700 forbidden women, his foul behavior ultimately lead to the kingdom being torn in two.

1 Kings 11 is a bitter pill that reveals how Solomon very poorly finished up his life. His actions, not even God could pardon.

The Freemasons hold Solomon in high regard because of his rebellion against the Almighty. My grand dad had a Masonic Bible, and the forward was written about Solomon.
