    in Matthew 11:11 Jesus says, referencing John the Baptist, "Notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." Was John not in the kingdom of heaven? When was the kingdom come? Before Jesus' death on the Cross, was the kingdom of heaven not here? Thank you.

    Lauren, Jesus is saying that John is a mere mortal, and those in heaven are loftier, greater, and Holier than John by definition.
