"Those have been judged to be murders are already in Hell". What about this murderer? Does Moses get special treatment, qualified immunity for his sins?
11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.
12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.
Chip ,i believe that Moses was very conscious of his own sinfulness ,when we read the first 5 books of the Bible he shines as a very meek man ,he knew what he had done and was greatfull for Gods forgiveness i am sure .
The intention of the murder , such as a veteran, such as a body guard, these are intentions to protect! David didn't actually kill Bathsheba's husband by sending him to the front, but He payed the price as if He did the act of killing! The matter is of the heart, a murderer is anyone who will kill out of spite, a robber, a rapist ,a thief. There is a difference.
The old testament is full of killings .How God forgives this ,is his way. We honor men and woman who serve and protect, even give medals for heroism. Distinguishing , measuring, is part of the wisdom ,God gives to determine these things. A murderer, cannot be forgiven, if there is no consolation and forgiveness of sin through Christ, through the blood of Jesus, forgiveness is the promise of God given when we confess our sins. He is faithful to forgive us our transgressions!
