Bible Discussion Thread

I'm a mature Christian of many years and I know the bible and know the Lord, but for some unknown reason I am constantly tormented by spiritual forces, especially during the night. I have prayed to the Lord for help, guidance, deliverance, so many times, I have repented of every single thing I can think of, and then some, I have closed every door, I am not living in sin... I cannot get relief from this. Why is the Lord silent? I have no bad things in my house, and don't do evil things, and the Lord isn't showing me anything that I'm doing that is out of his will... so why? What I need is for someone, or the Lord, to show me what is the root so that I can repent and cut it off once and for all. I long to be free. I am so tired of fighting day and night. I don't need generalised help or bible verses, but I do need God to speak to someone about the underlying cause of this, and to see the answer. IF God says it's something I must bear and put up with, okay, I will do so - I will give up praying against it - if HE says so... I just need to know!

This has happened to me. I order it to leave me alone and it did. That was while I was backslidden. I am now walking with Christ again and haven't been harassed in a long time. But the devil does come roaring around me at times, and I say, "IN JESUS NAME, GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN!" I'd say the same if a spirit bothered me again. Simple, but powerful. Say it, and believe.

Tricia we are all fighting the good fight and pressing hard as the day of the Lord is almost here. I pray God to rebuke the demons that come to torment and fight against you to cause you to fall. I bind them up in the name of Jesus. I also ask the Lord to come into your home with peace and comfort and ease your mind...deliverance where its needed in your life and God to let His love wrap you up in Him...Draw nigh to God ..resist the devil and he will flee...may God bless and keep you ..Amen
