If God wants to eternally save all mankind, and he has control over the armies of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth, and none can stay his hand. Daniel 4:35. why does the bible teach us that all of mankind will not go to heaven?

    Hi Forest,

If God wanted to create robots that acted perfectly according to a program and be in heaven He could have done that.

He instead made mankind with freewill to choose good or evil. Earth tests our character and our choices- if we will love God, love others, and be a good neighbor.... or not. Most people choose to follow satan and evil which I believe is for selfish reasons, so most people will also be punished and go to hell.

Imagine the difference of hearing 'I love you' from your daughter who voluntarily chose to say that vs. someone forced to say that. One is meaningful and the other isn't. Maybe God loves us enough to let us choose for ourselves who we will follow. God or satan.

Thanks for your reply and I do agree that God gave mankind the freedom to choose how he wants to live his life as he sojourns here on earth but his eternal inheritance is by God's sovereign will without the help of mankind.

God looked down from heaven on the children of men to see what choices that they had made, and saw that none did seek him, no, not one - Ps 53:2 God by his foreknowledge knew that they would not choose to worship him and that is why he choose a large portion of of them to be cleansed from their sins by his Son and adopted them as his children.

We, as a society, still use this example when we adopt children. First the father chooses a child (the child did not choose the father). He then paid all of the adoption fees (as Christ did on the cross) and the last step of the adoption is when the father brings them home. The last step of our adoption by our heavenly Father is when he comes back and gathers his elect (chosen) from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other - Matt 24:31.

Brother Forest, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Do you think Christ feels like a ROBOT.

Do you think his Father feels unloved because he CAUSES Jesus to love him.

Jesus said HIMSELF; of myself I CAN DO NOTHING. ( John 5:30) ( John 18:28)

Jesus said HIMSELF; ye (man) can do NOTHING YOURSELF ( John 15:5)

Philippians 2:13 For it is God who WORKETH in you BOTH TO WILL and DO of HIS GOOD PLEASURE.

We make thousands of choices each day; but every choice has a CAUSE that made us make that choice, and that CAUSE is God.

God CANNOT be Sovereign and man have FREE WILL.

Ephesians 1:11 ...being predestined (everything is chosen for you) according to the PURPOSE of HIM (GOD) who WORKETH ALL THINGS after the counsel of HIS WILL.

FREE WILL is the wisdom of this world that God calls FOOLISHNESS.

It is really easy to rest IN CHRIST when you BELIEVE HIS WORDS.

Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together IN ONE ALL THINGS IN CHRIST, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, IN HIM.

1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be Saviour of the world.

You cannot be Saviour of the world without SAVING THE WORLD.

    Brother Adam,

Hell, also known as hades, is a waiting room for the dead allegory. The rich man in agony sees Abraham comforting Lazarus, this is also a frightening allegory. I see God using a common tactic, 'the fear of hell', to entice sinners into a respectable and pure Christ-like existence. It is also said that ALL men & creatures will kneel before God. God's universe is all inclusive.

You must know that God loves us all, and even the worst of sinners have people that love and pray for them. Free will is also pre-destiny, because God knows every hair on your head, He knows you from before the womb. Jesus paid a blood ransom for ALL the world, for ALL sin. The hell in our minds is all the hell that there is.

God has his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of earth, and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? Dan 4:35. If God wants all mankind to live with him in heaven, he will have his will and all mankind would live with him in heaven, in which, we know that the scriptures teach that not all of mankind will be in heaven.

Don't believe in man's words.the popular preaching today leads us to believe that if we just believe in Jesus we will be saved. This is a very popular worldly view today, and conjured up to make people think we are saved and can not fail to achieve heaven. It is a false sense of security, and a false teaching! It is contrary to what our bible scripture instructs us. Ask yourself: Do you really want to follow the popular worldly view?

Read and believe in your bible scripture

    Jeremiah 21:8

"And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death."

God said:" I set before you a way of life, and a way of death!" Even though God and his Son Jesus Christ gave us a path to life. Not everyone will find their way..many more people will find Death!

    1 Peter 4:18

"And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?"

If the righteous "SCARCELY" be saved..doesn't sound like many people will get to heaven. Do you believe this? I do.

And why did Jesus say this scripture below if he didn't mean it to be TRUE!

    Matthew 7:13

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:"

Jesus is telling all of us that will listen - there is no free ticket to heaven.

    God Bless

In response to 1 Peter 4:18; If you refer to the original Greek interpretation of the word "saved" it means "delivered". There are "few" of God's elect that will be delivered from their ignorance of God's righteousness by the Holy Spirit within them revealing the correct understanding of God's righteousness by his Son's death on the cross imputing his righteousness unto them.

Most of God's elect have "a zeal" of God, but not according to knowledge, for they being ignorant of God's righteousness, are going about to establish their own righteousness, having not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Matt 7:13-14, Gives us the division of the few that have been revealed the knowledge of God's righteousness who enter into the straight gate and the narrow way that leads them to enjoy an abundant life as they sojourn here on earth. Those that enter the wide gate and the broad way are the vast majority of God's elect who are teaching and preaching eternal deliverance by their good works, which leads to destruction. All of God's elect have had their sins paid for by Jesus on the cross and will all enjoy eternal deliverance into heaven, without the lose of even one.

I believe the scriptures teach that there will be more to enter heaven, than hell, as many as the stars in heaven and the sand in the seashore, too numerous to count.

Jeremiah 21:8, I do not believe that this passage is referring to "life in heaven", and "death in hell". "Death" according to Greek translation means "separation". God is telling his elect to choose that abundant life that we can enjoy by entering into the strait gate referred to in Matt 7. The "death" would be a separation from enjoying that good and abundant life.

God granted mankind the ability to choose out the way he wants to live his life here on earth, and mankind choose not to seek God. Psalms 53:2-3. God, by his foreknowledge of this, choose an elect people from within those that did not seek him.

The inspired scriptures are preserved by God for instructions as to how God wants his elect children to live their lives as they sojourn here in this world. The life referred to in Matt 7 is not eternal life, but an abundant life that his children can enjoy if they follow his instructions. The Greek definition of the word "salvation, saved, save" is "a deliverance". God's children are delivered eternally by God's grace in securing them a home in heaven by the death of his Son. They are also delivered as they sojourn here in this world, from the things of this world, by their good works in following God's instructions.

Both of the gates in Matt 7 are comprised of God's eternally saved children, and will all live in heaven forever.
