I was raised in the Catholic church up until I was 27 years old. I then left the Catholic faith because I felt I didn't know God or the Lord Jesus in a way that I grew up hearing and listening about. It seemed the word of God was kept from us Catholics except for a couple of small scriptures and a twenty minute sermon I couldn't ever understand because the priests are from other areas of the world and have very broken English. I felt God was this like this supreme far away person spirit and I didn't really know him. I found a little steeple church by a distant relative and accepted Jesus as my savior and baptized in a river one day in a Christian camping adventure. When you teach about the Sabbath in these verses in Isaiah, it is a day to me that I've not taken the way God has commanded us to. I'm confused about the day of the week it falls on. And there's not one church that says it's on Saturday but uses Sunday as that holy day to God. It's like a big secret. The Catholic religion did not teach me the words of God, it showed me more that God exists and we did the same prayers and praises over and over again. Nothing was different. I hardly knew God' in a personal way nor his words in the bible what they truly say and mean. Now I have grown to know God and our Lord Jesus and how they both have guided me how to live and love others. What day is the Lord's day? I heard it Saturday. I just can't dedicate a day myself. I hope and pray to make it holy for God.

    Sister Audrey,

Best to read your bible and pray and ask God's Holy Sprit to help you understand what you read. There are many people out there that will try to lead you in the wrong direction.they interprete and twist the words they read in the Bible to mean whatever message they are trying to push.

The Sabbath Day has always been the last day of the week - Saturday. God gave us the Sabbath to rest, pray, reflect and give thanks to God. Yes the 4th commandment asks us to Keep Holy the Sabbath.

Many Christians and churches today do not keep the 4th commandment.

There are many references in the Bible regarding keeping God's 10 Commandments. Here is Jesus speaking the following Bible scripture below:

    John 14:15

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

    John 15:10

"If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."

In summary: You can always believe in the bible scripture!

    God Bless

Audrey, my CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

In the Old Testament (old covenant) God lived in a TEMPLE made of wood and stone. Men met in that temple on the SABBATH.

In the NEW COVENANT Christ is the TEMPLE. Christ LIVES in YOU, making YOU the TEMPLE of GOD. You worship and praise God continually, making every moment the SABBATH, the Lord's day. RESTING in the WORKS OF CHRIST.

Don't be deceived by man's traditions.
