Bible Discussion Thread

I am going to ask a question about once every three days and they are questions about things I have wondered about and in no way trying to prove anything at all. First question. What is the biggest thing that makes you a believer? My biggest thing is just looking at the earth and the sun and there is no way that all this just evolved from nothing. God created the heavens and the earth! I wish one of these scientific people would try to tell me how the sun has burned at the perfect temp. for life on earth and never ever needed any fuel since the day it was created! I have never known anything that burns and never needs fuel! Amen.

That's a good one Norman ,as a child I couldn't believe in the theory of evolution ,from an early age I knew it was rubbish , the thing that helps me believe is the enormous number of fortuitous coincidences in my life ,I promise if I told you just a few you wouldn't believe me ,they are amazing and there are loads of them , the fact that I am still alive and sane and actually happy is all down to God and His care of me and mercy towards me ,in my life for a long time I was my own worst enemy , thanks to God I'm still here and I am sooo happy that God has granted me a measure of understanding of the eternal Truth about Him the Holy One of Israel and His Son ,Jesus Christ my sinless High Priest in Heaven . There is nothing in this world ,apart from my husband ,that makes me truely happy ,there are some pleasant diversions but that's all they are . I'm just waiting for Christ to return ,that's the greatest thing that is going to happen and I'm desperate for it to be soon .

Sacha, thank you. I just thought it would be nice to here what makes different people a believer and I thank you for your reply. I know that the Lord has watched over me and my Family all my life. I came up hard and did some of the most crazy things ever! I was on board ship once in the Navy and we were in a storm that had 40ft. swells for almost a week and when the ship would ride over one it would fall off the other side and the whole ship would shake and I really did not think we were going to make it but we did, it was a small ship. God was watching over us for sure! My list goes on and on, I could right a book and it would not be boring either. Good luck with everything Sacha and may God bless you and your Family!!
