I don't agree with your placement and function of those 2 scriptures. Luke 17:34-37 & 1 Thessalonians 4:17, are not in context with the end-time time-line, and are opposed to each other.
Luke 17:34-37 Jesus speaks of himself coming like lightning, at the sixth trumpet, day of the Lord. Like in the days of Noah, and in the days of Lot, to destroy the sinners there of. Jesus is describing the sixth trumpet abomination of desolation, when antichrist attacks Israel, beginning the great tribulation. The Lord is sanctified in our enemies destruction of us.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 describes the seventh trumpet, firstfruit resurrection. This event occurs 42 months past Luke 17:24-37. This is Revelation 11:15, the mystery is over.
