Greetings in the Name of Christ! You are perfectly correct. Every human being is born spiritually dead, in that he is disconnected from God because of an inherent sin nature ( 1 Cor. 15:22). God is the only source of life. Therefore, one is considered to be unplugged from God and spiritually dead until he is born again and plugged in ( John 17:3). He is then quickened and made alive. Jesus used a personal pronoun "their" when describing the dead because, until one is born again, he is merely a product a procreation, and belongs to the current world system. God bless and take care.
Dgjot ,dead in their sins , not interested in the truth or the light . This is the state of all none Christians ,unclean unbaptised and uninterested in the Eternal Truth .
What did Jesus mean by: let THE DEAD bury their dead"? Did he mean the Spiritually-dead,
(the unsaved)???
