How can the Bible scriptures comfort a mother who's son at age 26 was murdered. Her son with child she says was the love of his life, and he just won a custody battle, planning a trip with his daughter, was murdered the weekend planned to leave on the trip. She is lost and she ask me to guide her to the gospels and bible scriptures that may help her. Can you help me with my situation ?
"I take my son by the hand and lead him to you, God of love. Here is _________ (name). Accept my love and thanksgiving as I entrust him into your loving care. I want him to be free to be at home with you. I ask that you save a place for me there beside him and that you be my loving presence in all the lonely moments that await me. I ask that you fill me with motivation and energy in the days ahead when I feel like giving up; remind me often of my true homeland when I am caught up in the desolation of the journey. Help me to find joy in the people, events, and the beauty of nature that surround me.
This brings a 10 year period of my life back to me. I know how much it hurts but don't surrender your faith in God. I lost a beloved father to Alzheimer's; a much loved nephew in a fiery truck wreck; 2 drug addicted brothers died a year apart, on a bus bench, and one behind Panda Express. I brought my poor mother to live with me. As years of sorrow made her face sad; she went to heaven on a stormy night; with heavens light on her face.
We have to let grief have it's course, because joy comes in the morning after.
I found photos of special memories of happy days and events. We recalled the old stories and told the stories again to each other... and even laughed at some.
Don't walk on eggshells. Revisit the joyful days.
Don't bury the happy memories fade, in the grave of a chilly heart.
Be faithful and go to church. Agreement in the whole congregation invites the Lord to pour forth His healing balm over everyone.
Guess who is the 2nd and 3rd person we will see (after seeing Jesus first) ? That's right...
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Listening to gospel music also helps a lot. You just present yourself to the Lord and praise and worship him.
Thanks

That's Sad to hear, Prayer for comfort is all I can suggest without knowing the family. Maybe someone else can help.
Do you know if He was a Believer?
God bless you.
