In the book of Genesis Chapter 14:18-20 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

My question is: Is it Melchizedek giving tithes of all he has to Abram? or is it Abram giving tithes of all he has to Melchizedek?

Abraham knows the power and promises of God. Melchizedek is the high priest sent from God to bless Abraham! This is the beginning of the kingdom, the kingdom that proclaims the coming savior! Abraham tithes the spoils, unto the King of heaven and earth! Check out the word to the Hebrews in the new testament.

Spike , as Melchizedek is the priest I have always assumed that Abraham gave him tithes . I could be wrong .

Spike, it was Abraham who paid tithes to Melchizedek (see Hebrews 7:1-6).

Spike in response to your question, yes Melchizedek King of Salem was trying to give Abram the Processor of the most high God his tithes due to him delivering his enemies into thine hands.
