I believe that such holidays are Satan based, if God had meant for us to celebrate Christmas he surely would have made clear the date of Jesus' birthday. Easter? Where is it written that we are to celebrate His resurrection? It is written that we are to celebrate His sacrifice for mankind though.
Carol, it is True Christmas and Easter are when we remember them today as Confirmed in Scripture. God did record these Wonderful Remembrances of His Love for us. Whithout Christmas there would have been no Easter and without Easter there would have been no need for Christmas.
