the jehova witness say that Jehovas name was taken out of the bible? was It/
  • Jehovah Witnesses - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
The one thing the JW's do that is commendable (in my opinion)

Is that they go door-to-door, hand out tracts and visit with people face to face.

Does ANYONE in here do that, I wonder?

They have a doctored up Bible that doesn't have JESUS'S name in it. That is very bad!!!

Remember the woman caught committing adultery? We are so ready to throw stones at people who are doing something right BUT WITH THE WRONG BIBLE. They visit, listen to sad stories....evangelize.

Do any of our neighbors know we are Christians? They can ask questions? Be prayed for if they have needs? Write it on a slip of paper and give it to the Pastor. We are admonished to "do the Work of an Evangelist".

If you need a Holy Spirit gift to evangelize, pray for it. Have hands laid on at church. We're all called to WORK THE HARVEST. Pray to the Lord of the Harvest (Jesus). Ask to have an offering taken up to purchase gospel tracts.

Some people are elderly and could use a prayer of encouragement. See if they need a New Testament Bible. (Very low cost)

These people may all be at the Bema Seat judgment of Jesus. :D All this stuff is going to come up and be mentioned. How wonderful to get a crown for doing something so Easy! Yep. Go google Five Crowns.

I do not give the JW's a hard time. Sometimes I invite them in :O and give them a glass of cold water. Chick Tracts dot com has tracts just for JW's. Yep. Cheap too.

    Let's not throw stones... Mishael
  • Jesse - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
    Mishael,

Please do not take this the wrong way because I know you love the Lord and have a true concern for the spiritual welfare of others. Everything you share is out of love and concern for others, so the motives of your heart are quite evident. If the Lord puts it on your heart to go door to door with the gospel, you're to be commended. But we should not commend those who are going from door to door spreading a false gospel. The JW's are listed as one of the largest cult groups in the world. They are spreading a false gospel and should not be commended for that regardless of their zeal.

I've spoken to some JW's in the past and from my experience, it is almost impossible to share with them the same Jesus that you and I know and love. They do not want to hear it. They refuse to hear it. I have nothing against a believer going door to door, but only if the Lord is putting it on their heart to do so, otherwise the Lord is not going to bless that, even if they are "doing it for the Lord!"

I still have them, along with the Mormons come to my door on occasion. I refuse to let them into my home. I am never rude to them. I just tell them I'm not interested and they leave. We are told in 1 John 1:10 that those who come to you bringing false doctrine, we are not to let them into our house, neither bid them God speed (Well greetings), because if we do, we are partakers with them in their evil deeds. Evil deeds are not to be commendable.

Again, please don't take this the wrong way. What what you are doing is completely different than what the JW's are doing. You may do things like going door to door because the Lord is putting it on your heart to do so, but they are going door to door for a different reason. They go door to door because each one of them has a quota that they must meet each month. The Lord is not going to bless that because it is not of Him. The Lord will never send people to your door to bring a false gospel, false doctrine, or a false Jesus!

Good morning Mishael But the J.W.'s Teach a very sick thing they go door to door teaching that God Almighty neva had an Absolute Son, he was just a Token Son like ADAM , Another Adam . How sick is that .As if Jesus cannot multiply after the God kind,Jesus said to whom the WORD came ( HIS SEED ) it made them Gods and the scripture cannot be broken . It was God Almighty that said that everything has to multiply after its kind and we see that Jesus cd multiply after the God kind as that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit as God Almighty is spirit which is the H.G. the God kind the Children of Promise via the seed of Christ . When he breathe on them he was multipling after the God kind their Child was the H.G. The Child of Promise . His breath was his Word which is his SEED. That was the great Promise i will multiply thy seed as the Stars of Heaven ,thus the Sower and his seed ,his Words. Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world, Had he not been God the Son his blood cd not have been the Atonement for the sins of the WORLD.
  • Be Kindness to Others and Believe in the Bible - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
Good morning. I know what you are saying is true. I could just NOT open my door. Something inside me said to be kind. I told them my testimony, and why I believed IN Jesus. They tried to hide the truth about why Jesus's name wasn't in their Bible. I said it's not right when your Church doesn't have the same Bible as everyone else.

It's like, they know, but don't want to admit to it. I told them I was a street evangelist for Jesus Christ. I was not ever going to toss out what I know to be true. They stopped trying to convert me. I don't know how that's going to pan out for them.

I hope that as real prophesy and the end times speed up, they might think that Christianity is the Truth. Like Ezekiel, we tell them the TRUTH, so their blood is not on our hands, so-to-speak. We've done our best to communicate it. Then we pray for the Holy Spirit to do the part that we cannot do: convict them of their Need of Jesus, for sins.

I NEVER apologize for what God requires to be born again. We have to agree we sin. It's there like a big Stop Sign at the intersections of life.

How can 2 walk together unless we be agreed, as touching the truth. It was last Christmas, that I let my JW friends know we were not going to be able to agree on who or what TRUTH IS. It's Jesus Christ. He's knocking on the door of our hearts.

I have very strong convictions about television and media, but I do not force anyone to share that with me. I find the Bible to be entertaining. I LOVE to tell the stories. Like, how Gideon was hiding from God behind a wall, lol. Like, don't pick me; pick someone else. God saw something in him that Gideon didn't see. God really was patient through the fleece process. Then Gideon finally agrees, and the Lord whittles his army down to some guys who drink water with their eyes UP looking for the enemy. That's humor, drama, everything.

There's a lot of stories like that. And it's sad that more people can't communicate this to others.

    Alex,

The problem lies in handed down man made doctrines. Rather that reading the accounts for themselves, they choose the easy path as opposed to the path less traveled. The answers are there for the taking. Discerning the word equals dividing the truth.

The Jews reverend the Name of YHWH so much that they use Adonai instead.

( LORD.) The Jehovah witnesses put the name Jehovah back in every where they figured it was taken out, "PLUS" in verses it doesn't go to deny the deity of Christ.

That's their main pitch when saying they have the best translation.

    I hope that helps.

    God bless.
  • Chris - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
Hi Vivnce. As Adam as shared the link, you will find that the Name Jehovah does appear in the KJV. However, I think what you might be referring to is that the JW Bible (New World Translation) shows "Jehovah God", when our KJV shows it as "LORD God".

So if you look at this example: Genesis 2:4 in the KJV: "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens", then in their NWT Bible, it will read as, "This is a history of the heavens and the earth in the time they were created, in the day that Jehovah God made earth and heaven."

Maybe this is what the JW you spoke to was referring about this change. They use 'Jehovah', & we have it as 'LORD' (in capitals), though 'Jehovah' does appear as a word four times in the Old Testament of the KJV.

Cancel that, I just saw your last sentence. That's how easy it is to write a conflicting post.
  • James Reardon - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
    Chris,

Not so, KJV has accounts of "Jehovah" being used:

    Psalms 83:18

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

    Isaiah 12:2

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

    Exodus 6:3

And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

    Isaiah 26:4

Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

The Jehovah Witnesses took Jehovahs name out of THEIR Bible. When you buy a Bible or adopt one from Goodwill, check who Published that Bible.

I had a couple of really nice J.W.'s ladies come by my place for 4 months. They listened to my Testimony, miracles that I've seen, stories of when I was a Street Minister in several cities.

    Stories I've got.

Their drive to make converts is like granite. It would be by Divine Intervention and a lot of prayer and fasting; that the Word might penetrate their hearts.

I was as lost as anyone could be. I know that God makes house calls. I'll never get tired of thanking Him for that. Let's step out onto the water like Peter did, and ask God to save some more Jehovah Witnesses.

By the Blood of the Lamb, and by the Word of our Testimony, they can hear us. The Jews have been blinded and their ears can't hear Jesus. A day will come when the deaf will hear and the eyes will see. Have faith and see the Salvation of our Lord.

I've heard it said by radio preachers that on the day Jesus Rode in to town on the baby donkey was on April 6th. Is it in scripture
  • Jesse - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Vincent Franco,

That would be a correct date. April 6th, 32 A.D. is the exact date that Jesus rode into Jerusalem. This is taken from Daniel's prophecy. Daniel's prophecy says from the time of the going forth of the command to rebuild Jerusalem until the time of the coming Prince when He is cut off (that is, His crucifixion), is 69 sevens or 483 years.

The decree went out in March 14th 445 B.C. and that is recorded for us in Nehemiah Chapters 2 and 3. You can check that out there. And 483 years later, that is, 173,880 days, which was the exact day in which Jesus rode into Jerusalem, which is what we see in Luke.

Matthew didn't mention it, which is kind of surprising that he didn't. But Luke mentions the fact that when Jesus rode into Jerusalem and wept over Jerusalem, He told them that "If you had only known this your day, you would not have rejected me." So if somebody had a calendar going they would have said "Hey, today is 173,880 day, Messiah is supposed to be here!" But they missed it and Jesus rode into Jerusalem on that very day. And that day was April 6th, 32 A.D.
  • Ronald L Whittemore - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Jesse,

I respect all you do on this site and do not want to cause strife. If I may ask a couple of questions.

When did the Messiah (Jesus) first come? Was it when John the Baptist said "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world". Or was it when Jesus, after his ministry to the lost sheep of Israel, rode into Jerusalem as the Lamb of God, on the tenth of Nisan as our Passover Lamb, the same day the Passover lambs were being taken up by the people. At this time, they had already rejected Him and were conspiring how to kill Him.

69 weeks is 483 years in 365-day years, is 176295 days, not counting .242 per year, solar years

69 weeks is 476.4 years in 360-day years, is 173880 days not counting leap years, prophetical years

If we start at March 14 th 445 B.C. in Nehemiah 2 it is in the month of Nisan. 173880 is 476.4 years calculating in 365-day years. If we subtract 476 years, not counting the .4, which is 144 days from 445 B.C. that gets us to 31 A.D. When going from BC to AD you have to subtract 1 year because there is not a 0 year, that puts this in 30 A.D. in the month of Nisan, not counting the 144 days.

If we use the 483 years, we wind up at 38 A.D. minus 1 year we are at 37 A.D. that is too late.

Jesse, I hope and pray you do not take this as an attack, but in respect and love showing truth. Please calculate this for yourself, not taking what I post, but for your own conscience.

  • Jesse - In Reply - 3 years ago
    RLW,

I do not take it as an attack at all. You're simply sharing information with me that you may have researched out, and I do appreciate that. What I shared came from sitting under the ministry of a pastor who was very familiar with the Hebrew calendar and He took that calendar, plus the prophecy given, and that is the date he came up with based on the number of days as to when Jesus rode into Jerusalem, that date being 6 April, 32 A.D. I believe this date to be accurate. For myself personally, I do not see any benefit in trying to prove this pastor wrong, as it is not an issue that would benefit me one way or another in the Lord.

If you have taken the time to do the calculations using the Hebrew calendar, and you've come up with a different date, you're a better man than me because I do not enjoy math at all. If I tried to figure this out, it would take more time that I wish to expend on it trying to prove the date wrong.

To answer your questions, when did Jesus first come? Well, we know that He was already 30 years of age when He was introduced by John. And then at the end of His 3-year ministry, Jesus then rode into Jerusalem to surrender Himself. I still believe April 6, 32 A.D. is the correct day. Do you have a different day from your research? Either way, Jesus rode in on the exact date that was prophesied, and the Jews should have known that it was their Messiah that rode in on that day.

Thank you for sharing that. If the Lord leads me in that direction to try and figure the date out for myself, I will do so, not for my own conscience sake, but just out of my own human curiosity. I am curious however to know if anyone else here has gone through the time to calculate the exact date that Jesus rode into Jerusalem? I would really like to know that!

    Brother Jesse.

Here's what I believe When Jesus finally ALLOWED them to present him as KING!!

Genesis 49:10-11. THE SCEPTER shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until SHILO come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

( BINDING HIS FOAL UNTO THE VINE, and HIS ASS'S COLT UNTO THE CHOICE VINE; )he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:

Zechariah 9:9. Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy "KING" cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Daniel 9:25. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the MESSIAH THE PRINCE shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

    God bless

    Jesse,

    Thanks for your kind reply,

Just to be clear my calculations and my study has nothing to do with when Jesus rode into Jerusalem. When Jesus rode into Jerusalem has no significance to the prophecy given to Daniel except it was five days from when He was cut off (crucified).

The main reason I replied was to show that one hundred seventy-three thousand eight hundred and eighty days from 445 B.C. will not get to 32 A.D. it is at least two years short. If that is true, what then, what will that change?

Thanks again Jesse for what you do, may we walk in the Spirit of truth.

    RLW,

Thank you so much for the clarification. As I said, I am not a math wizard by any means. They say that 3 out of 2 people are very bad at math, and I'm one of them. What you shared earlier did have me wondering why I was told years ago that this was the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem and his calculation came from adding those days from 445 BC. I do see how using a 365-day calendar would give us a completely different date than what we would get by using a Jewish calendar (360 days), which is what was used to come up with April 6, 32 AD.

I went online and in a search box, I typed in (445 BC plus 173880 days). One of the first websites that came up was a place called Christian Truth Center. I've never been to that site before so I can't say yea or nay on its trustworthiness. Maybe I'll take a look at it later (Lord willing).

But anyway, they come up with the same calculation that I had shared. Below is a copy/paste from their website:

"As prophesied, it was to take 438 years from the giving out of the commandment unto the coming of Messiah the Prince. Using the Jewish calendar of 360 days per year and multiplying by 483 years you get 173880 days. That is; 483 years x 360 days = 173880 days. Thus from the giving out of the command which was on March 14 445 BC plus 173880 days you get the exact day when Messiah the Prince was to come. This was on April 6th 32 AD.

On April 6th 32 AD, Jesus came to Jerusalem riding on a donkey to shouts of 'Hosanna'. It was the only day Jesus permitted his followers to publicly declare Him the King of Israel fulfilling Daniel's prophecy to the day.

Thank you for the conversation, very interesting indeed!
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 3 years ago
    HI Brother Jesse.

I also have it as you said, as the day Christ came in on the donkey, The important thing is It was prophesied as 69 weeks and confirmed by the days given as tho it was meant to be counted!!

And it seems they were held accountable for not knowing!!

Luke 19:41-44. And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

Saying, IF THOU HADST KNOWN, EVEN THOU, AT LEAST IN ( THIS THY DAY, )THE THINGS WHICH BELONG UNTO THY PEACE! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

They should have known by the information given in Daniel.

Everything about the 69th weeks was fulfilled TO THE DAY!! So the details in the 7th week will be fulfilled as accurate.

    God bless.

    S Spencer,

I hope there's room for more opinions.

Jesus' hid message is also for our time, and how the sixth trumpet is misunderstood until it's not ( Isaiah 13, Revelation 18).

Thy visitation = the day of the Lord attack upon God's people.

The last half of the week, suddenly becomes the great tribulation.

This is what Jesus warns about, what the people didn't see. His day of judgment.

John, God is not going to attack Gods people.

EVERYONE THAT HAS BEEN BORN AGAIN AND BAPTIZED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT (according to John 3)

Even those that believe on Jesus Name..

Will Be Caught Up in the Clouds to Jesus.

There may be trumpets going off, but the twinkle of an eye, is faster than a whole blink.

If you read the 10 Virgins Parable, Jesus told,

HE SAID TO BE READY. He's coming like a Thief in the Night (spiritual darkness). He said watch and pray. Let's do the DO's. What Jesus said to do! BE LOOKING UP.

We can all google THE NEW TESTAMENT PROPHECIES LIST. It shows the prophecies and the ones that have been fulfilled. Save it on your google desktop, so you can have it for quick reference.

With the 4 gospel books: we need to read the Harmonies of them. Four disciples were seeing and hearing the same thing, but they are a little different because were talking about 4 points of references.

Pastor Greg Laurie has some very good teachings on Revelation on his YouTube channel; soon to be on cable. Rick Renner is a good one to consider.

I have learned that if we read slowly, take some notes, read all the center of each page reference notes; a more complete sequence comes into view.

Use the SEARCH BOX on this website to gather all scriptures on a subject. It helps. Read the Commentary which you scroll Down to read it too.

I own a study of A harmony of the gospels two tremendous aspects that were worked, the reason why four Gospels the number 4 pertains to Gods putting together the earth and solar system. There are four seasons , there are four basic elements earth wind fire water, there are four directions north south east west, just some examples. In relation to the Gospels each Gospel brings to light a specific attribute to Jesus Christ walk on earth. Mathew as King of kings, Mark as servant, Luke as Gods perfect man, and John The son of God. Its work a very Inspirational work. God Bless

    Study yourself,

This coming attack is against the nations who were once Israel, under David, then scattered. God often says that He is against His people and will use our enemies to do His will. You should be able to spot God imparting this fact on to you.

Please read Ezekiel 38 to see satan's coming after Israel and he takes her.

Read the aftermath, how Jacob gets knocked out by his brother, Obadiah:10

This violence on God's people gives rise to speculation that around this time frame God will protect His people, Christians, from harms way and usher them off to safety. Regardless of any professed doctrines, the strike will see God's children under attack.
  • Dianne - In Reply - 3 years ago
Within the harmony of the gospels what I've studied there are 4 gospels because four pertains to the world, i.e. seasons of the year, directions north south east west, another example earth wind fire water, the reason four gospels each magnifies a different aspect of Jesus Christ ministry on earth. In matthew as king, in mark a servant to man, in luke as a perfect man, in John as the Son of God.

    John.

    Corrections.

It seems I left out a few words in examples #1 and #2.

#1 Jesus said "THIS THY DAY". How could he be expecting them to recognize a DAY that haven't come yet.

#2 Jesus said ""The things which belong unto thy peace!"" Revelation 18. can hardly be called "The things which belong to their peace.

I would like to add one more making it

#4. Why would Jesus tell them no man know the day nor hour when the son of man cometh and then turn around and hold it against them for not knowing?
  • John Carter - In Reply - 3 years ago
    S Spencer,

I not sure we are talking about the same thing.

I'm pointing out the duality between Roman times and end-times.

#4 the second coming? No, you are ahead of yourself. It's the day of the Lord strike, revealing anti-christ.

Jesus isn't talking about His return, He's talking about "Jesus thief" coming to lay the land desolate!!!
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Hi John.

Thanks for reply, There's several problems with that view.

One is Jesus said in Luke 19:42. Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in ""THIS THY DAY,"" the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

#1 Jesus said "THIS THY DAY". How could he be expecting them to recognize a that haven't come yet.

#2 Jesus said ""The things which belong unto thy peace!"" Revelation can hardly be called "The things which belong to their peace.

#3 Why would he hold them accountable for knowing the time of his visitation if he hadn't visited them yet. And because of it he tell them in Verses:43-44. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; BECAUSE THOU KNOWEST NOT THE TIME OF THY VISITATION.

    That happened in 70 AD.

    God bless.
  • John Carter - In Reply - 3 years ago
    S Spencer,

You helped make my point, but with better clarity.

    70 AD = Luke 21:20-24 = the abomination of desolation = thy visitation = Revelation 18.

Even though the signs are there, the people will not recognize them, and follow their own narratives.

Jesus knew Israel would be destroyed not only by the Roman's, but in our day by anti-christ.
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 3 years ago
    John.

I don't see how you can associate "THIS THY DAY" and the days of thy PEACE With Revelation 18.

And In Luke 21 the desolation was the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

But that's not the "ABOMINATION" of desolation.

Luke 21:20. And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Totally different than what's described here in Daniel , and what Jesus verified in Mathew.

No Image/idol is set up in the temple as described in Revelation 13. This is what Jesus and Daniel is talking about.

Matthew 24:15. When ye therefore shall see the ABOMINATION of desolation, spoken of by DANIEL the prophet, STAND IN THE HOLY PLACE, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Daniel 12:11. And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination THAT MAKETH DESOLATE SET UP, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

This will last 1290 days. That's 30 days past the 2nd half of the tribulation. There is no mention of that happening in 70 AD. as described in Daniel 12 as mentioned or here in Daniel 9.

Daniel 9:27. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: AND IN THE MIDST OF THE WEEK HE SHALL CAUSE THE SACRIFICE AND THE OBLATION TO CEASE, AND FOR THE OVERSPENDING OF ABOMINATIONS HE SHALL MAKE IT DESOLATE, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

    I leave off there,

I'm sure we will have to agree to disagree. Not interested in a debate.

    God bless.

Dear Jesse, we are aware of this issue with commas and numbers and will do our best to fix this. It relates to how it scans for verses and converts them into hyperlinks using something called regex. Those we contracted have been unable resolve it thus far. Thank you for your prayers.

    Dear KJBO,

Thank you so much for letting me know that! Now I don't have to go out and buy that Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing course (He, he!)

This site is such a blessing to us, thanks again!

I've noticed that on this site also, I figure God will work it out.
