    Otis,

There is no difference. The words holy, sanctify, sanctified, sanctification, and saint all come from the same word, HAGIOS. They all mean to be set apart. A saint is someone who has been set apart (HAGIOS) for God's purposes. We have been sanctified (HAGIOS), which means set apart. And we are HAGIOS (Holy) because we have the Holy One dwelling in us!

But there is no difference between the words!

The church epistles are my favorite study area because they are specifically directed to the church of God called to be saints, separated by the gospel to the Body of Christ. It is all for our instruction in righteousness.

Its a very inspiring detail of Gods word that the number 8 Biblically is spiritual perfection and their are 8 Church epistles with everything to know about the saints in the body of Christ.
