Eugene in addition to what was already shared Aaron was the First high priest of Israel chosen among men from levitical line the last Perfect High priest from God can be read about in Hebrews chapter 8-10. Jesus Christ. God Bless
Hello Eugene. The tribe of Levi was the tribe selected from the twelve tribes to perform the religious duties of the Tabernacle & other associated services. So the Levites were divided according to their families to fulfil their various religious responsibilities: Gershonites, Kohathites & Merarites. However, Aaron was also from the tribe of Levi (Kohath - Amram) & he was selected to serve as the High Priest as also were his descendants (the Kohanim).
So the Levites (from those three families) received tithes from the other Tribes of Israel. But they were required to set apart a further tithe from the initial tithe, for the provision of Aaron & subsequently his descendants who served in that High Priestly position. You can read a little of this in Numbers chapter 18, & specifically verses 20 to 28.
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
If our Lord became the earthly king that the Jews expected, (I speak as a sinful man), there would be a holy spirit, but not found in heaven! Only on earth?
If His kingdom were of this world, there must be repentance for sin! If not, it will be for those who repent in the world to come! Repent and be Baptized....

Behold, how much they hated Him!
