I request for a prayer upon my family to gain a stronger state of togetherness. I request for the healing of all those that are sick and in need of medical aid even if they have no option to do so. I request comfort and safety upon those that are in need of shelter and warmth. I request moments of ease upon those that are filled up with stress and worry for they shall have moments of rest. Finally, I personally request for strength to help me overcome my strong lust addiction. It has caused me pain and I grief for my actions. I repent unto the Lord for He shall hear my name and my name that is written in the book of life.
1. Acknowledgment your addiction to sex. Admitting the problem is the first step. But you need to acknowledge it with all your heart and make the choice to repent.
2. Repent. Self-pity and remorse and self-loathing are not enough. You must repent--that is, be determined with all your heart to never do it again--if you have acted upon it or if it's just lustful thought, ask God to condition those thoughts out of your head. You can help yourself by rooting out media--music, books, films, etc. that have sex in them because seeing or hearing those things will trigger sexual lust. There are plenty of good clean books and movies to watch instead of R or X-rated media.
3. I advise you to set up morning and evening devotions. Pray. Confess your sins and ask God to forgive you. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you focus on your devotions. Ask him to show you His ways and teach you His paths. Psalm 25:4.Thank Him and praise Him for all the good and the bad things, including answered and unanswered prayer. Add people who need prayer, include prayer for your lust addiction to be healed to a prayer list. Quote the Lord's Prayer Matthew 6:9-13
4. Ask him to give you wisdom, strength, and determination to stand in the battle raging about you (temptation and troubles and such). Ask Him to help you use all the armor and weapons (His Word, rebuking the devil in His name) He has given you to their fullest extent. 2 Corinthians 10:3"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)."
5. When sexual temptation is upon you, rebuke the devil by saying, "In the name of Jesus Christ, get behind me, Satan!" And he will flee from you. James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
May God find you in your moment of need and restore you and your family's heart with healing. May He guide you and lead you to a place of fullness that doesn't require seeking anything other than His unfailing love and glory. May your family unite as one, and find forgiveness as our Father has forgiven us. May you find your hearts flooded with joy, love, comfort, peace, and blessings only the Lord and God of Israel can bestow. May you pray to Him and ask for guidance and wisdom in your moments of temptation. May you seek him in moments where the devil calls you by your sin, but God calls you by your name. God bless you and your family.
