Question...I have been ask this several times and I do not have complete answers

God created all things. Did He create the angels? Did He create Satan? God knows all things.

Why did Satan come about? God did know what he would do to mankind..right??
  • Alex - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
yes god din't create satan satan created his self

    god created Lucifer
  • Loretta Hopson - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
Yes. Thank you. God did create Lucifer...not Satan.

    Thank you..

So, I guess I am not so ignorant of the Bible. I don't know either!

    Thanks to all of you.

    Hi Loretta.

Isn't it funny we all can come up with 5 different explanations but yet say the same thing. "We don't know". LOL

    God bless.

    Hi Loretta.

I meant to say If God never created Satan and would have just created "MAN" would man have turned out rebellious and evil? Perhaps so. ECT.....

    God bless
  • Alex - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
    yes we would
  • S Spencer - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
    Hi Loretta.

You are correct, God knows all things. He even knew Satan would fall and deceive man.

Knowing this you know about as much as everybody. So with that being said I will give you my answer which would sound a lot like sister Dianne's and brother Earls, but I will say it in three word! I DONT KNOW. There is nothing given in scripture on this matter.

Another question is could creating Lucifer the way he did and knowing he would fall be a part of Gods redemption plan? Who knows?

Another question and this one might a little easier to answer, If God never created Satan and would have just created Satan would man have turned out rebellious and evil? Perhaps so. We know during the millennium Satan will be chained a thousand years and man will be under the reign of Christ and there will still be death and sin. After the Devil is loosed again he will deceive the nations again. With that being said, why did God create a rebellious man?

Now we come to part of Brother Earl's answer.

Romans 9:20-23. Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

"Perhaps this can apply to Lucifer as well."

Here's a side note on Satan. He was created perfect. Ezekiel 28:15.

He fell because of pride. Ezekiel 28:17. and this caused him to want to be like the most high! Isaiah 14:12-14.

He was created perfect and by this he wanted to be worshiped.

Is not that what he ask the Lord Jesus to do in Mathew 4:9. This is also one of mans biggest problems as well, desiring praise and glory for ourselves.

    God bless.

Amen and Amen, Brother S Spencer, we can't just be wounded by the Word of God ( Revelation 13:3). We have to DIE (be killed) by the Word of God ( Revelation 13:10).

2 Thessalonians 2:8 An then shall that Wicked (US, children of Satan) be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume ( Hebrews 12:29), with the spirit of his mouth (Words of God), and shall DESTROY with the brightness of his coming ( Colossians 1:27 CHRIST IN US).
  • Jesse - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
    Earl,

Do you honestly believe that 2 Thessalonians 2:8 is talking about the United States? From what I see in the next few verses that follow, it is referring to the antichrist.

How do you come to the conclusion that it is the US?
  • Earl Bowman - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
Brother Jesse, not the United States, US (Flesh) has to be destroyed by the Word of God, written and LIVING (Christ in US).

    Wesley's Notes for 2 Thessalonians 2:8

And then - When every prince and power that restrains is taken away. Will that wicked one - Emphatically so called, be revealed. Whom the Lord will soon consume with the spirit of his mouth - His immediate power. And destroy - With the very first appearance of his glory.

    People's Bible Notes for 2 Thessalonians 2:8

2Th 2:8 Then shall that Wicked be revealed. After the hindering power is removed. Whom the Lord shall consume. The Wicked power will be destroyed by the Lord's coming, and will continue to exist, possibly, until that event.

Loretta God Created all things in the beginning after the council of His will and since God knows everything he knew what was going to happen and what he had to do to fix it. That being said everything he created I.E. angels and man had freedom of will. Lucifer in the beginning was Top angel or messenger when transgression was found in him He changed into the devil or satan. In the garden of eden the serpent one of the descriptions for how satan works tricked Eve and gave the fruit to adam. In the garden Adam had complete control over Gods creation When the serpent i.e. satan tricked eve and they broke Gods only commandment all that authority and power became the devils Gospel of Luke 4:4 The devil said to Jesus christ all this power will I give thee for that is delivered unto me and to whomsoever I will I give it. Now thank God that Jesus Christ bought back everything spiritually that the enemy stole and Gods will will be done on earth as it is in heaven in the end revelation.

    Sister Loretta:

Romans 8:20 For the creature (CREATION) was made (by God through Christ) subject to vanity (to sin), NOT WILLINGLY (creation had no say in the matter). BUT by REASON (total knowledge and wisdom) of HIM (GOD) who hath subjected the same (CREATION) in HOPE (redemption and deliverance by the WORKS of God through Christ),

Romans 8 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature (CREATION) WAITETH (till the second resurrection) for the manifestation (first resurrection) of the sons of God (The SEED of GOD).

Romans 8:21 But the creature (CREATION) ITSELF also shall be DELIVERED from the bondage of corruption (the GRAVE) into the GLORIOUS LIBERTY of the children of God.

Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the FULNESS OF TIMES he might gather IN ONE all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even IN HIM:

Acts 3:21 Whom the HEAVEN (Son of God) must receive until the TIMES OF RESTITUTION OF ALL THINGS, which God hath spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets since the world begin.

John 3:13 And no man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is IN HEAVEN.

    Colossians 1:27 ... this mystery...CHRIST IN YOU...

Romans 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Romans 9:23 And that he might make know the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he hath afore prepared unto glory,

Romans 11:31 Even so have these now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
