There is a verse in the Old Testament I have read it a number of times and so have others , yet we don't remember where it was . It can't be found in search engines and not even modern concordances ?
It's a verse that God says , I do not have flesh that I should forget . Why is this verse impossible to find ?
If you know where it is please respond . It is in the Old Testament. Thanks
Indeed Lighton, a verse with those words would be difficult to find. The only ones that could come a little close are found in: Numbers 23:19 (where the word 'repent', would be 'a change of mind or relent'); 1 Samuel 15:29 (the same Hebrew word is used here as well); Isaiah 49:15 (where the "woman" signifies humankind (of the flesh) who might even forget their nursing children, but God would never). I realize that none of these fit perfectly to what you're seeking - maybe you'll get some other suggestions.
We know the apocrypha was removed 150 yrs ago this was stunning to me after reading it it really should be in the OT .
More biblical scholars than my self also claim that some verses in the KJV where added and not in the original. I can not verify it so I will not say which ones but they are very doctrinal verses that many hinge onto .
I love the Bible and read only KJV , but man has tampered with it . Just how much ? When we catch some there most likely is more . This explains some seeming contradictions .
But man is not able or devil to over ride Gods purposes . I'm not derailed by it at all . The over whelming truth is there and the few verses that contradict are much less . Usually the case . But many people just need 1 verse to over turn a whole book or law sometimes it seems .
So beware the other versions are tempered with so much more to fit the deceivers intent . The scriptures where destroyed and hidden until 1500 or so ! Amazing we even have what we do God is
Merciful. The NT could be so much bigger than it is .
Where is the apostles doctrine ? It's mention but where is it . We do have references to it , but where is the actual doctrine? Yes some of it is seen in the letters . But those are letters with its teachings in them ...
bottom line we are ever so more dependent to be taught by God , and He is able .
Hi Lighton. You've brought up a few issues concerning God's Word & I assume you did so in the light of the supposed difficulty in finding that verse you suggested.
In each of the matters you raised, there is an answer that can be given. Without sharing much detail here, the Apocrypha (I think you're referring to the OT Apocrypha written in those 'silent years' between the testaments), was not recognized by Jews in general, & if it has been omitted from Bibles, it was because those books failed certain tests that were applied to them; tests of authorship, doctrine, reliability, etc.
And then we have the NT Apocrypha (in the post-Apostolic years), which for the most part are error-ridden with very wrong teaching (Gospels of Thomas, Barnabas, etc.).
I think you're thinking of 1 John 5:7 as an example of a verse included in the KJV. Other Bible versions that have this verse omitted have done so because it doesn't appear in some older manuscripts. Whereas the KJV is translated from a later manuscript (Textus Receptus) as it was overall much more reliable, even though the view was "the older the better". And indeed, this verse is clearly in full agreement with John's Gospel concerning the Word of God.
Scriptures such as 2 Timothy 3:10 & Acts 2:42 which speak of the 'apostles' doctrine', can be clearly understood & appreciated as not a special or new doctrine by the apostles, but simply their 'teaching' which they received from Jesus & His Spirit. And this doctrine (teaching) they faithfully passed on to the new Church so that they would be well founded. Sadly, many entered the Church not confirming this doctrine, bringing their own deformed teaching, thus leading many astray. Hence the pressure on the epistle writers to alert the believers & bring them back onto the true doctrine of Christ.
So, if we have such doubts over the Scriptures, you can be assured that there are well-researched answers given to allay any fears & to strengthen our belief & stand on the Word.
Chris the KJV translators included the Apocrypha in their translation of the scriptures .
I happen to believe they got it right ! And the American Bible society that was instrumental in taking it out 250 years got it wrong . End of story for me .
With all you people that seem to know so much can you find the verse that certainly is in the KJV ? God speaking said , I have no flesh that I should forget , something like that . A young lady that have been a believer for only 1 yr can recall reading it too , but can not recall the place , I have read it at least 3 times but recalling it in location book ch and verse , I'm not good at that . If a person has not even read it I wonder how much Bible they even have . Please supply the Book chapter and verse thanks my original question !
Well Chris it's not elusive to me , I have read it many times over the years but did not think much of it as some of us know God is the eternal Spirit and creator of all things invisible and visible . Also the God of all men including Jesus . But many can not fathom that fact .
What the Lord taught me is many do not read the Bible as I do . Rather they read men's books on the Bible and also search engines more recently and they are terrible for leaving out verses . Computers are destroying the truth if that's how you get your information these days . How many verses are omitted and never heard ? Plenty is my guess .
Like google that has its preferred customers on the top of the page and many never get viewed or on page 100 that no one reads .
People need to get back to reading the hard copy Bible and let God use it as intended .
I'm with you there Lighton , often when I read posts on here I have wondered , has the person read it all ? Have they treated the whole thing with respect ? Not just the knew Testament ? Did they get to know God through the Old Testament before they got to know Jesus ? Do they respect all the Words of God or just the ones that back up their preconceptions and already formed mind sets ? Some times I honestly feel as if they have just typed one word in a search engine and quoted every verse with that word in . My Bible is paper ,with no references at all in it ,and I've never ever used a search engine . My search engine is my brain , and you cant search in a brain for something unless it's already there in your brain because you have read it all many times .
An old saying you can't fool all of the people all of the time .
It says in 2 Timothy that the time will come that they will turn away from the truth and heap
To them selves false teachers .
The definition of delusion is believing something even when proved wrong . You can not win many over , but you can prevent or warn some of the danger of not adhering to the word of God .
Religion is a free pass for otherwise rational people to believe their faith, according to their understanding. Are we better off never telling a soul what we know is the truth?
Lighton In the original scripture there were no capital letters, no chapters, no center references, no punctuation it was all manuscript form {forgodsolovedtheworld] that being said I choose to believe that the translators did a remarkable job in what they were assigned to do. What we were given explains plenty to understand our deliverance by God through Jesus Christ. God Bless
Lighton Everything thing that man needs to be complete is written in the bible 2 Timothy 3:16+17, your not dealing with theology which is man's idea of how God works. The word is God saying behold what I have done through my son either we believe or not, as it says in Isaiah 55:8+9. God Bless
Questions Not Readily Answered Right Away. - In Reply - 3 years ago
Because God is spirit. So is the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the son of man. He is all God, and all man. Not 1/2 and 1/2.
If satan is a very bad devil, would he twist a scripture to confuse several people? Plus there are many translations of the KJV to enhance study, like the Living Bible, NIV, etc.
I've never had trouble finding a verse, if I will pause and ask the Holy Spirit to help me. Then I wait for His answer. If no answer comes, it's always been because there isn't an answer.
If it was me, I would lay that search aside and move on to something I can find.
This verse you describe sort of troubles me. The God that I know simply would not pose that challenge to His children.
Perhaps, Chris knows of this verse? I hope you are able to move along to something else while you are waiting on God.
Mishael I invite you to look at the Gospel of luke chapter 4 when Jesus christ was being tempted and by whom also i said it was a description of operation.

Is very much similar to the hidden verse .
God says he is not a man .
And God is spirit and never changes as well .
These verses could be a theological problem to some no doubt . But hiding verses is the same as removing them in my opinion.
