Does the exportation to silence still apply to women today?
  • Glenn - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 14 - 3 years ago
There is no place in the Bible where Anyone says women can't teach or lead ,.. check your strongs concordance, you'll see that's a miss translation, an simple means that , No one , should chatter while Gods word is being taught

There is no where in the bible the word trinity is written but people believe in it?
  • WHY TRINITY IS NOT IN THE KJV BIBLE - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 14 - 3 years ago
Trinity is not in the Bible. The Bible says Godhead.

The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages. These scriptures are evidence of all 3 persons of the Godhead speaking to each other.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    Isaiah 6:8

    Romans 1:20

    Colossians 2:9

    Acts 17:27-30

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and GODHEAD so that they are without excuse:"

    Genesis 1:1

    The Father purposes

The Word (Jesus) speaks. ( John 1:1)

The Spirit (Holy Spirit) executes the spoken word. Action.

All working together. Jesus came to show us the Father, as Emmanuel.

    Matthew 1:23

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."

Jesus came to bring to each born again believer; the baptism and the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit.

    [ Genesis 1:2, John 3:6, Acts 2:1-3, John 16: 7-15]

To REFUSE this knowledge, is to reject the Son of God, and his provision.

PS. I have these scriptures noted on the inside cover of my Bible.

The trinity doctrine is man made , its the bedrock of the Catholic church .

Its not anywhere found in the scriptures . Unless scriptures are twisted to mean something other than the true meaning .

Its extremely confusing and that should reveal its origin , God is not the author of confusion.

The bible plainly says Jesus is the Son of God . If you believed confess that then God dwells in you according to the scriptures . 1 john 4.15 , nothing about the trinity doctrine .

If you believe Jesus is the Christ then you are Born of God ,1 john 5v1 .

Where does it say if you believe in the trinity doctrine you are Born of God ? it does not .
  • Bob - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 14 - 3 years ago
    Amen !

Peter got it right when Jesus said who do you say I am ?

The Christ the son of the living God .

Why cannot people understand this ? Unbelief is a terrible thing .

    Isaiah 40:30

    569

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.

31 But they that wait for YHWH shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with

wings as eagles: they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.

    CHAPTER 41

1 Keep silence before Me, O islands, and let the peoples renew their strength. Let them

draw near, then let them speak; let us come near together to judgment.

2 Who has raised up one from the east, at whose steps victory attends? He gives nations

before him, and makes him rule over kings; his sword makes them as the dust, his bow as

    the driven stubble.

3 He pursues them, and passes on safely; the way with his feet, he treads not.

4 Who has wrought and done it? He that called the generations from the beginning. I

YHWH: who am the first, and with the lastpl am He.

5 The isles saw and feared; the ends of the earth trembled: they drew near, and came.

6 They helped every one his neighbor, and every one said to his brother, Be of good

    courage.

7 So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smooths with the hammer, him

that smites the anvil, saying of the soldering, It is good: and he fastened it with nails, that

    it should not be moved.

8 But you, Yisra'el, My servant--Ya'akov whom I have chosen, the seed of Avraham My

    friend,

9 You whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth, and called you from the

uttermost parts thereof, and said unto you: You are My servant, I have chosen you and

    not cast you away.

10 Fear you not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your Elohim; I strengthen

you: yes, I help you; yes, I uphold you with My victorious right hand.

    11 Behold, all they that were incensed against you, shall be ashamed and confounded;

they that strove with you, shall be as nothing and shall perish.

12 You shall seek them, and shall not find them, even them that contended with you:

they that warred against you shall be as nothing, and as a thing

Why Trinity By the way its an honest question why so judgemental?
  • George - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 14 - 3 years ago
Why Trinity Why did Jesus Christ say I can do nothing without my Father.
  • Bob - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 14 - 3 years ago
God has only one head as creation reveals this , man made in Gods image has only one head and one personality.

God plainly said IAM God and no other beside me .

The truth will set you free .

  • English sacha - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 14 - 3 years ago
Hi George , yes , some people do believe in it , I think they are mostly Catholics and I think it is a Catholic doctrine . There are plenty of people who don't believe in it and who just believe what it says in the Bible . In the UK it tends to be Protestants who don't believe it and Catholics who do . That may be different in other countries .
  • English sacha - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 14 - 3 years ago
Hi George , thanks for your reply , the UK was very catholic until king Henry the 8th wanted a divorce . His daughter Elizabeth the 1st wasn't overly concerned about religion but didn't want to be told by anyone , including a pope , how to run her country and so wouldn't go back to catholicism .We have plenty of different denominations over here but it's only the catholics that believe in the so called trinity , the others are different version of Protestantism . In my hymn book I have some awesome very old hymms 1600s and 1700s and the lyrics don't talk about us going to heaven or that Jesus is a deity , they do talk about the return of Christ and God's coming Kingdom on earth . When I have time I shall put some up here . May God bless you .

you're correct in that the word trinity is not found, that's just playing with words, but you will find many passages that tell of the triune God, these are but a few.

1 John 5:7-9, For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son." John 1:1-18, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
  • Fred - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 14 - 3 years ago
They are the same entity, if they abide in you. The kingdom of heaven is within you. We acknowledge God the father as the creator, we believe that He sent His only begotten Son, we submit to the comforter who teaches us all things, who is the Holy Spirit. Being in this place , we live in the world but we are not of the world. Being one with the Father, through the son, who lived and died , as our substitute. Therefore Jesus can forgive sin. The perfect condition for man is to be one with the Father, No one but Jesus, is one with the Father. Jesus forgives sin! We are sinners. Reconciliation with the Father is through the forgiveness of sin, through Jesus Christ. When we know this, we become more than children of God, we are as God! 3in1, 1 being US!

    1 Timothy 2 . 11,12

But I suffer not a woman to teach , nor usurp authority over

the man , but to be in silence .
  • Earl Bowman - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 14 - 3 years ago
Brother Bill, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

John 6:63 ....the words that I speak unto you, THEY ARE SPIRIT

1 Corinthians 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto to you SPIRITUAL, but as unto CARNAL ....

Galatians 3:28 ....there is neither male or female, for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 5:32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the CHURCH.

Christ is the husband, we are the WOMAN (spiritually speaking), we are the Church (spiritually speaking). We are to KEEP SILENT before our husband and to keep SILENT in the CHURCH.

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which you (the woman) have received of him (your husband) abideth in you (the woman), and you (the woman) need not that any man teach you (the woman): but as the same anointing (your husband) teacheth you (the woman) all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it (your husband) hath taught you (the woman), ye (the woman) shall abide in him (your husband) (and you shall become one flesh).

1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam (Christ, spiritually speaking) was not deceived, but the WOMAN (the CHURCH, spiritually speaking) bring deceived was in the transgression.

1 Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding she (the woman, the church) shall be saved in childbearing ....

Revelation 12:2 And she (the woman, the church) being with CHILD cried, travailing in birth, and pained to BE DELIVERED.

Only if keeping the commands of the lord still apply .
  • Bill Pinson - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 14 - 3 years ago
So, that's one long who knows what and one claim that it's an anachronism no longer applicable to the church today.... anyone else want to take a stab at it?
