My desire is to walk in freedom. I don't want to go to hell. I don't want to separated. From God.

I haven't been a faithful , obedient Christian while willingly involving myself in homosexual acts.

I broke God's laws. Is there forgiveness and freedom for me ? Is it too late to repent ? I repent but it hasn't been real.

    Brother Robert,

Jesus tells a sinner in bible scripture below - to SIN NO MORE.

    John 8:10-11

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Jesus didn't tell the adulteress to just believe in him.Jesus told her to SIN NO MORE! Why should any of us be any better or get any better treatment than the adulteress? We are not any better than her - WE ARE ALL SINNERS!

Jesus also said below in scripture:

    Matthew 7:14

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Jesus is warning above that narrow is the way to heaven, and few of us will find it! There are many out there that will try to lead you away from the TRUTH. The truth may hurtbut the bible is the TRUTH.

Believing that Jesus Christ died for our sins is a good beginning. Changing your life will be the action that God wants you to take, just as he asked the adulteress to take action - and SIN NO MORE!

All of the answers that you are looking for you will find in the Bible. Read and believe!

God Bless and Happy Sabbath Day.

    Hello Robert,

If you have personally believed that Jesus Christ is God and that he has died for our sins on the cross, then buried and resurrected. ( 1 Corinthians 15: 1-5)And you trust in him ALONE for your salvation, not of any of your works. You are saved no matter what. ( Ephesians 2:8-9)

And once you are saved, you cannot lose your salvation no matter what you do!

I am not well versed enough to explain in detail the scripture proofs for OSAS. So I recommend checking out the RealBibleBelievers YouTube Channel and website. There are multiple in-depth resources for you to study.

I'm praying for you Brother Robert. For a while, I too was deceived into believing that my homosexual attractions are A-ok because God "made me this way". I had no idea how wrong I was, but praise the Lord for his patience and faithfulness. For he has not forsaken me, and he has eventually led me to the truth and gave me the conviction to turn my sins onto him.

I can't say that I'm completely free from my sin of same-sex lusting. My flesh and imagination will still betray me from time to time. But I believe in the Lord that he can sanctify me eventually. Like how he has made countless drug addicts, alcoholics, and gambling addicts turn from their sins completely. He can do the same for you and I too.

I'll be praying for you, brother!

    Hello Hui Ning Wu,

I would like to offer another perspective to your comment: "And once you are saved, you cannot lose your salvation no matter what you do!"

I ask, is this true? If true, I would love to commit sins tonight just for fun, because no consequence. Would love to do drugs, have an affair, go to certain clubs to party, maybe even get in a fight, because if we're saved no matter what it wouldn't matter and God would still reward me?

So, is this true that it's from God and not from satan? Before I do that I would first need to find it in clearly scripture and no other scripture would contradict it. So, if I look through the Bible for evidence, I find the following:

1 Peter 1:13 "...hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"

This suggests grace won't be given until Jesus comes- maybe even after we're judged. But people are telling me I'm saved and have grace now, so which is true? Does anywhere else in the Bible say that?

1 Peter 1:5 - "...salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

Ok, I guess it does. So, we're not 'saved' yet, huh?

Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

James 2:14-26 "...faith, if it hath not works, is dead..."

James 2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."

So, believing alone isn't enough? So, maybe faith and actions matter?

    Romans 11

John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

    Matthew 12:31-32

    Romans 14:12

1 Cor 9:24-27 "run the race", not the 'race was already won.'

But many people are telling me the race is already won and that I can party. So, who is right: God's Word or man's word?

    2 Peter 3:17

    Luke 8:5-18

    1 Timothy 4:1

    2 Peter 2:20-22

    Hebrews 3:12

    Galatians 5:4

    1 Corinthians 15:2-8

1 Corinthians 9:26-27 - this suggests 'trying' is good.

Evidence showing I should NOT commit sin. God bless...

Adam I personally on this commentary site have not seen anybody say that because we're born again and have eternal life is a license to still do whatever you want. That being shared whether we like it or not on some level of what we do we sin. If you buy shoes that were produced buy an unbeliever in China that violates child labor laws then you contributed to that sin. There is a difference between intentional and unintentional sin. Thank God they were all paid for by Jesus Christ also we will receive our inheritance based on what we do not on what we do not. Just Sharing In His Service.

Hi Rick , regarding child labour laws and other man made laws , I wouldn't go so far as to say they are irrelevant to us , we are told by Jesus to obey the laws of the land ,however they don't always agree with what God has told us about sin . In the UK in 1967 (the year I was born ) , up until then witchcraft and homosexuality were illegal , these laws were recinded in 1967 , which basically means they were both made legal . Just because something is legal on earth doesn't mean it isn't sinfull . I'm trying to think of something that isn't sinfull but is illegal in the UK . If I think of anything I will let you know . This may keep me awake tonight !

Well the Highway Act of 1835 keeps the driving on the left side and likely by now a few American tourists have erred, but not sinned. Rest well English Sacha!

Hi Rick, if you haven't seen that then great- it's best to not be exposed to that if not on your guard with the armor on. Plenty of people here say we don't have to worry about avoiding sin or even trying. They say human effort of any kind is bad. This is a false teaching. It involves taking a verse and distorting it to mean the desired outcome, while ignoring a mountain of other verses which are commands to be obedient. Some also falsely assume that just because you do good that you're now trying to 'earn' salvation- nope- we're saved by grace. But Christians are called to follow Christ and be obedient and deny the sinful self. Following Christ is an action. It is a huge responsibility. Some assume they have zero responsibility and can do whatever they want.

I have attended plenty of churches that teach this- where one Sunday you get 'saved' then you're done and don't have to do anything anymore. Then you're told that if you try you're bad or legalistic. They would call Jesus legalistic though for John 14:15. We must beware of false teachings from satan. I know a Christian who will probably be committing fornication tonight and has for years. The pastor taught him he's saved and doesn't have anything to worry about. Is that true?

Then you read something like Romans 6:15-23 that says while we're free from slavery to sin, we're not totally free, but instead slaves (servants) to righteousness. And sinning is "no big deal." But it's very big deal to God. God hates it and sinning is like slapping Him in the face and spitting on Him. That is a very different message than some are Christians are saying. So, those who believe they don't have to try as a Christian probably has a false sense of security and need to heed Jesus's words: Luke 12:5. This warning from the Bible is spread here in love so that all will get right with the Lord and be saved. There's only one truth- and I'd rather lean towards following God than following man's ideas.

The Word of God also tells us all through the N.T.(letters by the way to already established churches) to beware of sedition, fables, traditions of men, things that would turn the hearts of saints, now if they're already saved why the New Test? Why not stop at the cross? Well why have any scriptures period "before the foundations of the world were framed the Lamb was slain"(I paraphrased it) 1 Peter 1:19-21. Roman's1:16-32 tells us that we can be turned over to a reprobate mind. Why Gal.the 6th chapter? If Why have faith?( listed as one of the fruits of the spirit). 2 Thess. Chapter 2 tells(the church of Thessalonica and us because ALL scripture is given to us for reproof and instruction 2 Tim. 3-16) there will be a falling away, from what?...and that iniquity doeth already work, why caution us? In God's Word with Love.
  • Glenn - In Reply - 3 years ago
Falling away ie; meaning worshiping the anti-Christ upon his arrival,. Remember, he comes as Jesus, acting like Jesus, not a raving maniac, an cautiously, because many will come in his name , also changing the word , with slightly twisted words,.. remember, satin tempted Jesus with , Scripture !!!

The Word If you already have the answers why are you asking the Questions?
  • The Word - In Reply - 3 years ago
Rick, I'm asking questions not because I have the answers but trying to find more answers(according to scriptures). Everything that I have written came from scriptures and was just wondering if the scriptures are all adding up. These " new living translations, new King James versions", have a lot more of man's opinions in them and not God's word. We have to be very careful about what we read. Jesus said to be aware of wolves in sheeps clothing. No I don't have all the answers or even pretend to, I just give scriptures.....ALL scriptures. With Love my Brother.
  • Rick - In Reply - 3 years ago
The Word Stick with the original kjv the more you get into other modern translations the more confused you'll become, keep something in mind, they translated according to what they think it means. The King James Translation is a very comprehensive piece of work given by men committed to what they were doing. In His Service

Hi Rick , that was a bit rough ! I like to think that we are welcoming towards people , not pushing them away .

English Sacha He appeared to be answering His own questions was my only point.

    Hi Robert,

It wasn't clear to me in your post whether or not you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. So, to truly be forgiven by God you must accept HIS Son. So, below is an easy prayer to read to God, in order to be forgiven for everything past & future. Then, God will write your name on the palm of HIS hand ( Isaiah 49:16), so you will never be forgotten. Also, He will write your name in the Lambs book of Life. Then you can declare that you are a child of our Lord. You will be heaven bound. It's that simple. God bless you.

    A Sinners Prayer

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Yes. I'm a born again believer. But for a very long time I struggled with homosexuality thoughts. Never gave into them until a couple of yrs ago. I don't know why the devil targeted me. I just want to be loved. Accepted. Please pray 4 me. I see I really could use an accountability / prayer partner.

Robert you have made the first step.

    1 John 1 v 8

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

v9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

v10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
