The book of Hebrews was written to Hebrew people, Jews. I believe what the writer was trying to say to these people (Jews) was that the sacrificial system of Judaism could not save them. You see, many Jews were following along with the believers, and they were receiving the knowledge of truth, that salvation was through Christ alone, but instead of surrendering their lives to Christ, they were thinking of turning back to Judaism. They were to that point where they had to make a decision. Do I surrender my life to Christ as my Messiah and denounce Judaism? If I do that, my family will disown me, I will lose my job, I will no longer be allowed in the temple, and I will be persecuted by my own people.
So the writer is telling them that if you turn away from the truth by not surrendering your life to Christ, and you go back to Judaism, and your system of sacrificing, there remains no sacrifice for your sins. In other words, you cannot be saved through Judaism. This verse is not talking about a believer losing their salvation.
Dennis Braswell Hebrews 10:26 In simple terms. When we got born again and received holy spirit our intent is not to Go against Gods word intentionally anymore. Another grieve not the holy spirit. this verse is saying If you willfully go against the payment made for you I.E. Gods only begotten son perfect sacrifice there is nothing left that can be done for your sin.
