Precious Susan, I will try one more time with Part I, if this website considers me a robot... Be Encouraged In God's Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided. In JESUS' Precious Name (Authority):
When the powers, signs, and wonders were in effect, 'everyone' was healed - this 'authority' was Of God, "Confirming Through HIS apostles, That His Word Was The Truth!" Plus, All 'believers' in God's 'Prophetic' Program had this, from Christ, on the earth:
"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My Name {'Authority'} shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after The LORD had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven, and sat on The Right Hand Of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, The LORD Working with them, and 'Confirming The Word With Signs following.' Amen." ( Mark 16:16-20)
Notice, not all 'believers' at that time had the "authority to raise the dead." That "belonged to the apostles Only!" ( Acts 9:39-40)
Act 5:12 "And by the hands of 'the apostles' were many signs and wonders wrought among the people... compare Acts 5:13-16 = everyone was healed.
However, after Israel "fell" ( Acts 7:51-60), God "raised up Paul," who Also had signs, wonders, and powers "apostolic authority," which Also 'Included' raising the dead. ( Acts 20:9-10)
After "God Finally set 'Israel' aside, and Paul went to the Gentiles Only" ( Acts 28:28), God 'Withdrew this {temporary} authority.' Since Paul's Revelation of The Mystery in Romans Through Philemon 'Fulfills/Completes' Scripture ( Colossians 1:25), 'Confirmation' was no longer necessary. What do we have for our 'infirmities' Today, Under GRACE?:
continued in Part II (6 days below this post...) Be Richly Encouraged!

Dear Susan, I apologize IF I was unkind to you, as the " Ephesians 4:32 pop-up" indicates I am doing, trying to post Part I of my "study" to answer your important question about
"authority to raise the dead"? I guess it is not meant to be. :(
Susan You are correct because in the Gospel of Mark chapter 16 verse 17-20 And these signs shall follow them that believe in my name they shall cast out devils they shall speak with tongues. It doesn't say apostles it just says those who believe the lord working with them with signs following.

Precious friend, Susan. Thanks for your response. You do realize this was for the Twelve 'apostles,' to 'the lost sheep of the house of Israel,' Correct?:
"These TWELVE Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to THE LOST SHEEP of the house of ISRAEL.And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." ( Matthew 10:5-8)
Hi all, this was not a good question, and i can see it is a question who can make confusion. Where do that come from, my error too answer it. It may come some good out from of it anyway.
The only thing i can do is too pray.
I want werry well indeed pray for ppl who have fall down and may be dead or die werry soon, in accurate moment i've understand if its life i pray for and not the deadh.
Many ppl are praying for deadh ppl to be saved these dayes, sadly in the name of the Lord and in wrong learning of antichrist.
Evan we know that we believer's dont ever dies, according to the script. We put down the body yes, but what is inside will live.
So what death are we praying for?
Is it saved ppl who have died before, and i want to have them back in selfishness? I hope not!
So what we pray for in a time of belive, is not fall down and make your body be death. But stand up and be forgiven! Live! Becouse we will live with Christ in His Kingdom forever and then it will be peace and no more sickness, Amen, becouse of Jesus Christ. He's Holy Blood. What He did do on the cross. And that Father raised Him up.
It is a matter of time that God may save a person, who is important for Him. Will i stand against it? Ill hope not!
My grandmother who is died for me many years a go. A lot of years for me, and for her may be only a half second, may not be that att all. I will not pray for her anymore, she ill meet up with that time God have desires for me, many dayes ago, He did that. Amen
But i am werry grateful that she meet me one day . I miss my old ones werry much. Love u all in Christ.
Carful with wanting to raise the dead, as good as that is. Christs enemies wanted to kill Jesus even more, when he raised Lazarus up from the dead. Think about that.
In the New testament no one other than Jesus, and after his resurrection, Peter and Paul were document for raising the dead, I feel because Peter was the head of the church to the Israelites and Paul was the head of the church for the gentiles, and they received that power.
Of all the listed gifts of the Spirit for the church, raising the dead was not one of them.
So I personally don't think the church, people of the church, does not have the authorization/power to raise the Dead.
But what I was elaborating to was a lot of what was done in the miracles back then such as raise the dead was for the purpose of Authentication. ( The kingdom has come amongst you)
I think the original question was "Are WE given the authority to raise the dead " It wasn't anything about Jesus healing the sick. We all know "HE" does that.
And by the way Isaiah 53:5-6. Has nothing to do with sickness.
It's healed from our iniquities.
But HE WAS WOUNDED FOR OUR TRANSGRESSIONS, HE WAS BRUISED FOR OUR INIQUITIES: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; AND THE LORD HATH LAID ON HIM THE INIQUITY OF US ALL..
Christ took the penalty of our sins upon him so we might be saved!!
Our sickness in the flesh will be taken care of in our glorified bodies.
S. Spencer I never said he I said we do by the authority we have been given, and I realize that's if someone chooses to believe. Ephesians 1:19+20. In His Service
Philippians 3:10 . That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Ephesians 1:19-20. Speaks of the Resurrecting Power performed to redeem those who believe.
This is not speaking of Power imputed to us to raise the dead.
Ephesians 1:18-21. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
And what is the exceeding greatness of
( HIS POWER ) to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
WHICH HE WROUGHT IN CHRIST, WHEN HE RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, FAR ABOVE ALL PRINCIPALITY, AND POWER, AND MIGHT, AND DOMINION, AND EVERY NAME THAT IS NAMED, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
John 10:18. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I HAVE POWER to lay it down, and I HAVE POWER to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
I believe in Ephesians Ch 1, But I keep it in its context.
Ephesians 1:3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, WHO HATH BLESSED US WITH ALL "SPIRITUAL" BLESSINGS IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST:
We must not make others to suffer. The Bible has been used to that end. Gays and zoophilia people have been made to suffer. Clothing optional people too. Laws need to be lifted. All need to know that oppressive laws have been lifted. People are terrified about not having money. Christ did not teach us to use money. Jesus does not want his image to terrify itself. The world needs to change. God can say it is finished at any time.
Susan This is written to the body of Christ, Church of God Ephesians 1:17-19 Verse 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe according to the working of his mighty power. I didn't write the book but I do believe it! I know a women who prayed for her son who at the time put a loaded gun to his mouth and pulled the trigger it shot and the bullet turned into powder in his mouth. He found out later His mother was praying for Him at the exact time he shot the gun. Outcome was He got born again and now is working for God. I don't try to figure it out I just believe and let Go and let God.

Part II "Do we have 'authority' to raise the dead?" IF God's Will is for that, then HE "Will raise the dead," be we do not have the 'authority' as did the apostles ONLY {see Previous post...}
What is God's Program for today?:
God's GRACE In our infirmities
(1) Read Romans 5:1-5, especially take note of verse 3, "we glory [rejoice] in tribulations." We are not instructed here to glory in spite of the trials of life we find ourselves in, but we are to rejoice because of them. That is to say we are to thank God for allowing times of suffering into our life. This passage of Scripture expressly states that The Lord uses the tribulations of life "to conform us to The Image Of His Son" ( Romans 8:29).
To this end, He uses all things "to work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called According To His Purpose" ( Romans 8:28). As we grow mature in The Lord, our Savior is Glorified. As believers in Jesus Christ it is given us "in behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His Sake" ( Philippians 1:29). (Borrowed from brother Ed Bedore) My own study:
(2) After Paul [our #"pattern"# for Today!] prayed 3 times for his affliction, the "Answer he Received," According To The Scriptures, Was:
"And HE [CHRIST] Said Unto me, MY GRACE Is Sufficient For thee: For MY Strength Is Made Perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory [cp] in my infirmities, that The Power Of CHRIST May Rest Upon me!" ( 2 Corinthians 12:9) cp ( 2 Corinthians 11:23-30)
S Spencer I've been in small fellowships where people have been genuinely healed of different physical ailments, just because someone else hasn't seen it does not mean it isn't available. Also just because someone doesn't believe doesn't mean it doesn't happen . My Bible says Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and tomorrow, also by his stripes I have been healed!
No. The signs, wonders, miracles, tongues (languages), and prophecies were given to prove to the lost sheep of the house of Israel that Jesus was the prophesied Christ, the Son of God who had come to restore the Kingdom to Israel. After the Jewish people had rejected their Messiah the second time by stoning Stephen ( Acts 7:54-60) and rejecting the kingdom gospel proclaimed by the Apostle Paul and Barnabas ( Acts 13:6), the signs, wonders, miracles, tongues, and prophecies faded away. To my knowledge, the last person raised from the dead was a young man named Eutychus who was raised from the dead by the Apostle Paul ( Acts 20:7-12). Note: Scripture says the coming Antichrist and False Prophet will be given great power by Satan to perform lying signs and wonders. See 2 Thessalonians 2:9; Revelation 13:13-14; 16:14.
The risen Christ that we speak of, has filled all things through and in His promised resurrection.
A heavenly kingdom , made without hands reserved in the heavens for you and me! This kingdom of heaven comes not with observation, but in fact is preserved in the heavens for those who love Him. Their is one heaven ,one Christ. The wall or veil has been broken down, torn in half, this that has separated us from the Father. This vail was removed with the final act of His sacrifice on the cross! Those who believe these things, shall be grafted into this place of salvation. Both Jew and Gentile! That whosoever believes in Him, should not perish ,but have everlasting life! Therefore there is no difference, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God! Both Jew and Gentile! Repent and be Baptized

Great reply. Amen.

I second what Ikane has said. I believe Those gifts was always through the Lord and served its purpose.
No we are not given authority to raise the dead. what would it purpose to raise the dead today and die tomorrow?
