So in agreement with these scriptures and comments.Praise God it is in the bible Not by works but by faith. There is no A B C YOU have to believe that Jesus died for your sins on the cross! To be set free from the traditions of men.No No X Y Z No A B C Believe and be set free in Jesus name amen Hallelujah it is written.
I agree with Brother Adam who previously responded to your comments. Surely we most do more than just believe. Jesus states in scripture below: he will reward every man according to his work. This does take action on our part, as Jesus also states in scripture below, that he will come quickly and reward those who keep his commandments, and they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:12-14
12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city
So, if you believe what Jesus is stating here in the scripture: We must then keep his (God's) commandments and produce good work/good fruit!
Jesus didn't die on the cross, so that all of us can keep sinning as much as we want - with no repercussions. There is no free ticket to heaven!
Hello, I'm not sure what you mean by no A B C. If you mean there's no action you need to take to become a Christian, there absolutely are actions to do to become and continue to be a Christian. The definition Christianity is a Christ follower which is an action and choosing to follow Him is your active choice. The current tradition of men is to claim that doing good is bad and that doesn't come from God. Doing good is not the same as trying to follow the law to earn something. Gal 5:19-21 says not to do works of the flesh and if you do those on this list you won't inherit the kingdom of God. And the Bible clearly says to do good: Galatians 6:7-10. Matthew 5:16. James 2:14-17.
The first step to salvation is to believe, that is what I mean many people get turned off from some of the rules of some churches ex no dancing no singing no drinking when Jesus gave the last supper it was wine that was the blood of Christ not juice. Now if that is a problem for some I would not drink so as to make them to sin but for me.The blood of Christ was wine and I rejoice and sing and dance and praise God Hallelujah the lion of Judah has come Fear not.Read about the woes of the pharisees and the scribes blocking some people from heaven and not getting there themselves.Jesus in his love and mercy wants all to come to him,the path is narrow but Jesus died for all of us.God bless you brother for more wisdom on the subject. Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Jesus Christ. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
