    I have a question.

So we as believers are suppose to be humble like Solomon or just prideful or proudful like Satan? Just wanting to know your opinion

I think Proverbs 31 is a model of a godly woman, wife and mother.

Ruth and Esther are women of God with books in the Bible for us to study.

Song of Solomon's, Shulamite woman: is a study into the bride of Christ or, the Church of Christ. I once thought it quite scandalous, but it's explained in Psalm 45:11 and Galatians 2:20

I think our understanding the strength of love, is imperfect. I will tell you a dream I had. After I was born again, people said to my face: that anyone who had been as evil as me__could not possibly be saved!! Then they laughed.

It cut me to my fragile heart and spirit.

I decided I would make Jesus despise me. When Jesus love knocked on my door I would slam the door shut and the pain of self-hate grew huge.

In the Dream, I saw Jesus laying stretched out on the Cross. He looked in my eyes with all the love within Him. I got angry! How dare He love The Unlovable?! I saw rocks. I picked one up and hit the nail in his hand. I felt sure I could make him sorry he had ever met me.

But he looked in my eyes and said, I LOVE YOU. I hit him again and again, and each time He said he loved me. Something inside of me broke open. I dropped the rock and lay on his chest and wept. His arms held me close. Then I woke up.

When I read Song of Solomon later: 2:19, 6:3, 7:10, 8:7; I knew I was loved. I forgave all those who cursed me. I learned how to give love to those who were like me. It's not carnal.

Only God can heal a human heart; and cause it to beat for others who have not heard Jesus say, I Love You.

The ability to love without judging, speaking curses or rationing is valuable. Love like Jesus.

I had this same thought the other day in one of my conversations and just happened to read

(or maybe the HS guiding me) Philippians 2 right after and thought it very fitting. God bless

    Matthew 18:2 - 18:5

And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

    Philippians 2:1-15

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

    Romans 8:6-9

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the CARNAL mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the FLESH cannot please God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

    Hebrews 11:6 (View whole chapter)

But without faith it is impossible to PLEASE him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Mishael: the 11th Chapter of Hebrews is known as "THE BOOK OF HEROES OF FAITH".

We all walk by faith and not by sight.

And God tests us in little things first. Tithing is a total work of faith. On Christmas Eve, I and my son were sitting at a traffic light. We saw an old man cross in front of us; head down in the freezing rain. All the money I had was 20 dollars for Christmas dinner. I asked my 8 yr old son if we should, and he shouted YES. I jumped out and gave the old man a hug and said Blessed Christmas and gave him the 20. We both thought upon him the next day. He was our Christmas blessing! Friends called and said to come over and eat with their family.

It doesn't take great faith. Just simple obedience to the Holy Spirit; who IS God. He never asks us to do impossible feats of faith: just ordinary things.

What will we do if the Holy Spirit taps us on the shoulder and asks us for a small act of faith?

The right answer to your question of what pleases God, is to be a person of faith. Like Jesus.

If you follow Jesus you will listen to what he says in scripture:

    Matthew 11:29

"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

If we want God's Grace (Reward) we must become humble as the apostle relates below:

    1 Peter 5:5

"Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble."

    1 Peter 5:6

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:"

Humility is better than gold. We can't buy humility, but we can pray REAL REAL REAL HARD for it, and hope the Holy Sprit blesses us with it!

    God Bless
