Is America mentioned anywhere in the Bible in the endtimes? Seems like I remember a verse that mentions (the young lions), but the way it was worded you knew it meant under England. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Revelation 1:11, Rev 3:7-13, when I researched online the only Philadelphia I found was the USA, where our Declaration of Independence & United States Constitution were signed.
Psalms 33:12
Genesis 12:1-3
Prayer discerment, wisdom, fortitude to serve GOD ALMIGHTY is what we need.
I appreciate it, T. Levis, but that's not exactly what I was looking for, but I thank you for replying to my question. I was told I might find it in Daniel, so I'm going to check it out. Please pray for me that I find it. I know it's in there because I have seen the verse in the KJV Bible. I'll let you know if I find it, if you'd like me to. Thank you again!
I still haven't found the verse I'm looking for. I know it's in there because I have read it. A preacher many years ago was asked if America would be mentioned in end times and he read a verse, he said that the word "England" not mentioned by name, but the way it was worded you would know it was speaking of her, then it mentions in the same verse about her young lions. The preacher said America is the young lions. How I wish I could find it again. I've checked every verse from different people on here that was mentioned for me, but it's not been in any of the verses I read. I have completely read the book of Daniel and it is not in there, so I'll keep looking. I want to thank everyone who has tried to help me, I truly appreciate your time trying to help me. God bless you all with all things good!
You're going to have to Learn to use the Search Engine on this website.

Myself, if I cannot find a scripture I vaguely remember; I ask the Holy Spirit to HELP me. And then I move onto something else for a while. The main thing is, He is our Teacher; that Jesus gave to us. We need to learn to rely on Him. See? Self-reliance is sorta lonely in a way. When the Holy Spirit shows me something, I do hand flips.
*when you're searching a location, you may need to use ancient maps. The Bible is going to use ancient NAMES.
You might try using Google. Or call some bookstores to see if they carry books of Bible maps.
overcomer We pray to God who is Holy Spirit John 4:24 and the way we do that is by what he gave us when we were born again by His gift Holy Spirit or pneuma Hagion or holy ghost which to me is a bad translation i prefer holy or seperated spirit and Spirit which is what God is spirit.
Yes I agree those that are born of the Spirit of God and are able to worship and even pray in the Spirit to God . Those in the flesh can not .
That's not the question.
Did Jesus instruct anyone to pray to the Holy Spirit ? If so where ?
He did instruct to pray to the father , and he also said if you ask me anything I will do it . That is all in context of being in the Holy Spirit to begin with .
A clear verse teaching to pray to the Holy Spirit is what I'm asking . Thanks for your patience.
Hello, I don't think anyone is this thread that I've seen is suggesting to pray to Mary, unless you are? I believe some make Mary into a false god, and many even worship graven images and idols of her and other people in Catholic churches, which I think is clearly a violation of the 2nd of the 10 commandments.
Hi Mary, have you put 'young lions' in this Site's Search Box? There are several references to them. However, I don't support their connection to the U.S. or any country.
Islands or Isles of the Sea - In Reply - 3 years ago
Islands of the Sea
Wesley's Notes for Isaiah 41:1
41:1 Keep silence - Attend diligently to my plea. Islands - By islands he means countries remote from Judea, inhabited by the idolatrous Gentiles. Renew - Strengthen themselves to maintain their cause against me; let them unite all their strength together. Near - Unto me that we may stand together, and plead our cause, and I will give them free liberty to say what they can on their own behalf.

This is what I was taught: that these islands are actually other continents bordered by water (seas or oceans). Presumably Gentile. No where near the Mideast regions.
The Sea of Galilee, the Jordan River, the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea are mentioned a number of times in both the Old and New Testaments. Each the the three bodies of water serves as geographical boundary markers in Numbers 34:1-12.
Ezekiel 26:15-18 (sounds like NYC)
Jeremiah 2:10-11,
Jeremiah 31:10, Isaiah 60:9,
Isaiah 42:10, 11:11, 24:25, 66:19, Daniel 11:18
The USA is bordered on 3 sides by water and would be considered an island.

Hopefully it's a good start in your studies.

Now ask Holy Spirit to be your Help.
Jesus said to pray to the Father , and also said ask of me , but I do not recall him instructing us to pray to the Holy Spirit .
We do work through the Holy Spirit but that's not the same .
Can you point to a specific scripture that instruct us to do this ? Thanks !
