    Hi Peter. In order for Jesus to redeem us, he had to come down as fully man yet fully God. So he had to endure all the things we did, but he did it without sinning. God gave us his son so that all who believe in him my have everlasting life. So he is both The Son of God and The Son of Man.

    Jesus is the Son of God because he didn't have a human father , he was conceived by the power of God through God's Holy Spirit . He didn't have a biological physical father . He is also the Son of Man because he had a human mother , Mary . Mary obviously is not a man but is of mankind , a wo - man . Hope this helps .
