    Mercy is the act of withholding deserved punishment, while grace is the act of endowing unmerited favor.

    In His mercy, God does not give us punishment we deserve, namely hell; while in His grace, God gives us the gift we do not deserve, namely heaven. God is love.

    Read John chapter 3 and, 1 John ch 1-9

    Hi Marcie A great definition of grace is divine unmerited favour, nothing earned it is just given, I.E. For by grace are ye saved through faith it is the gift of God.
