Which particular portion of the Scripture is your question related to? Matthew 16:13 when He refers to Himself as "The Son of Man" is one instance, which I believe could be attributed to the fact He was not trying to completely reveal Himself. Remember as well He spoke in parables, so that only those who believed would understand, and sometimes not even the Apostles and disciples understood. Even they weren't prepared for everything to be revealed, look at how they reacted to The Crucifixion. 1 Corinthians 13:12 Says of how we see, thru a glass darkly now, but then, face to face. We don't know alot of things now, but we can read and understand what the disciples didn't and the people didn't as it happened. Christ is a mystery that He reveals to us, but never fully until face to face.
