Brother Earl - Thank you for your 4 in depth replies, I have read them all and in much agreement with the understanding given. Much has been given and the latter glimpse of heaven is that part that I am waiting on the Lord for more revelation. Might need to simmer for awhile in my spirit. Sorry for yesterday's post, I was in much hurry but since it was a 2nd witness to me, I thought I'd better respond. In the mouth of 2 or 3 eyewitnesses, let every word be established. God gives us a word from His spirit and confirms it by His word. Like you said these can be hidden at times - that's why no eye can see and no ear can hear the things that God has prepared for us. 1 Cor 2:7 (even the hidden wisdom).

I just wanted to thank you Earl for all of your posts. You are a very kind person and have really touched my heart over the past months even since April. My wife and I lost our oldest son last December, -he would have been 21 in April from the fentanyl pandemic. He took 1 pill from a person thinking it was Xanax and never woke up, we found him in the morning in his bed and tried to revive him. He had given his life to Christ at 7 and I know that he is with him, but I still very much miss him. The Lord has been very faithful with His love and comfort. I would tell any parents out there to take more videos of their kids if they can, you'll never know if today is your last hug. He had the brightest smile and genuinely had unconditional love for every one he met. Caleb has given me many blessing since then as I reflect and I have felt his presence on occasion. I'm always telling God that Caleb is done spying out the promise land and its now time for his return. I will always believe the good report of heavenly father.

Again, thank you Earl for your deep insights - May God bless us all as we go forward in these uncertain times. At least His word is certain.

    Kevin,

So sorry for the loss of Caleb. That is a horrible thing to go through. May you continue to be comforted by the Lord every day and every time you think of Caleb.
  • Kevin - In Reply - 2 years ago
Thank you sister GiGi! I think that's why Paul says to comfort one another with these words from Thessalonians. Or as Jesus says of our Heavenly Father - I am not the God of dead but the God of the living in Mark 12:27 !

For we shall not taste death or even see death! John 8:51 !

Praise Jesus for His Death, His Burial, and His Resurrection - and thank you again GiGi for your love!

    Earl,

I do not believe we will all look like Jesus or have His passion scars on our bodies. We will look like ourselves but in a glorified body. All mankind is made in the image of God, but we all look different. I think that this is true in our glorified bodies as well. The image of Christ in us is the perfection of our mind, body, soul, and spirit to be made holy like our Lord's. We will never be Jesus, He is both God and man. He will always be distinct from us. He is the bridegroom, we are the bride. He doesn't "marry" Himself. God has always planned to separate a people for Himself. We are this chosen race, holy priesthood, children of God. Salvation is about receiving the forgiveness of sins, being deemed righteous by the covering of Jesus' righteousness, justified before our Father in heaven; but it is also about the redemption of our bodies, being changed from corruptible to un-corruptible. We will no longer sin, but instead continually do God's will. We will love to do as God wills,, love what is good, love one another, and love God above all else. This is what heaven is all about, to the glory of Good

Wow , that was an awesome post Earl , thankyou . I shall keep your exposition in mind as I read . Thanks again , much love in Christ .
  • David - In Reply - 2 years ago
Hi sasha Some clarification we who believe whether we are asleep i.e. dead or alive what is our Hope is the gathering together as stated in thessalonians when he returns to pick us up and we receive a body like His totally incorruptible glorious body that is our hope because you cannot believe for Him to return sooner that's in Gods Hands That's why it's the hope of the return and this will transpire before the tribulation. We will not be involved in the wrath to come which is Gods judgement on all unbelief. Prayerfully this helps.

I know we don't know the day or hour , we also know that parts of the world will be living as normal , marrying and giving in marriage , as it was in the days of Noah . The return of Christ and the end of humans using and abusing each other , oppressing and treading on each other is my biggest desire and comfort . To know that these kingdoms of men will be stopped in their tracks for ever , to know that no one will be hungry or thirsty or afraid or lonely or feel unloved or be ignorant of God's love and Jesus's love for them , for us . These are the precious truths that keep me going as I continue to live in this cold , dark miserable world . May God continue to be merciful to all flesh and may He bring us all very much closer to Him every day , through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour .

Hi English Sacha In the old testament men of God had spirit upon them conditionally which is why David the King said take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Notice I said upon them not in them None of the disciples had spirit until the day of pentecost when it became available to be born again by believing In what Jesus Christ by the Work of Gods Grace. Abraham was justified by believing there are people in the old testament who were as God says in Luke 1:6 were both righteous walking in the commandments of the law doesn't mean they had spirit and doesn't mean they did not sin it's just that they did not break fellowship intentionally. So the people in the old testament will be resurrected by there faithful walk in the law, we in the age of grace totally different administration saved under Gods deliverance by Jesus Christ are not saved by our works but strictly by Gods choosing and our believing. We must believe to receive.
  • English Sacha - In Reply - 2 years ago
I like that phrase you used : believe to receive . Thank you .

I do not believe you can loose your salvation. I believe that once you are saved and truly believe in your heart, then you are always saved. I have not been in God's word as I should have been for many years now. I am back to reading my bible daily and I have lots of questions.

Thank you for answering my question.
  • Jesse - In Reply - 2 years ago
    Dear Curious,

Thank you also for answering my question. Like you, I also do not believe that a person who has been born of God's Spirit (Salvation) can ever lose their salvation. A person is saved only when the presence of God's Spirit is living in them. At the point of salvation, we become a new creation in Christ Jesus. Jesus has promised us that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He also says that His sheep hear His voice and HE KNOWS THEM. Who is He referring to as His sheep, those who are lost or those who are saved? I would say those who are saved. With that being said, and knowing that Jesus calls you one of His sheep and says He knows you (Present Tense), how could He one day tell you "Depart from me, I NEVER KNEW YOU?" Doesn't make sense!

If you are saved and trusting in the one who saved you to keep you by His power, then you do well. Now, this does not mean that you can go out and sin all you want to because you're saved no matter what. Some will accuse you of believing that you can sin all you want because you're saved no matter what. What a terrible accusation to make against a believer in Christ Jesus! A person who is truly saved and being led by the Spirit of Christ would never believe that.

Also, if salvation cannot be obtained in this life, but only after death and judgement, then no one can presently say they are saved now, so then the question "Can we lose our salvation" wouldn't need to be asked. Some say yes, you can lose your salvation, and some say no, you can't lose it. But how can a person lose or not lose something that they don't presently have? The question would make no sense at all if we had to wait until after judgment. The bible speaks of salvation being present tense.

Stay strong in the Lord, remain in His word, and trust in the one who has saved you, the one who has promised to keep you by His power alone, and the one who said He will never leave you.

    God Bless!!!

    Amen Brother Jesse.

The just shall live by faith.

If someone asks you "are you saved " and you reply "I don't know " There seems to be a lack of faith, and belief in scripture.
  • Gail - In Reply - 2 years ago
No, you cannot loose your salvation. We are sealed with His Holy Spirit, the earnest of our inheritance, until the day of redemption and nothing can separate us from His love( Eph 1:13-14). Paul our apostle, the Apostle to the Gentiles, commanded members of the Corinthian Church in 2 Cor 13:5 and 2Cor 11:4 (some preach another Jesus and another gospel ) to examine themselves whether they be in the faith. If the answer to that is yes, then you have eternal security. See Eph 4:5 and Phil 1:6

Hi Gail Romans Chapter 8 Neither depth nor height things present things to come nor any other creature shall separate us who believe from the love of god in Christ Jesus. One of these days we'll get it.

Hi Curious , I believe it can be lost . I don't think that it's an easy or common occurrence because I think that if you are truly Christ's then he will fight to keep you with him . We read Daniel Ch 12 V2 . I don't believe that every one who has ever lived will be ressurected , others disagree and that's ok by me . I think that only the responsible Christians , people who have heard the Word , and understood it shall be ressurected . Those then that at some point in their lives , rejected it and never went back to it , will be ressurected to face Christ's judgement of them . In other words they have died in sin .The ones found acceptable will live and reign with him for one thousand years on earth . That's my belief . As you read the Bible for yourself you will draw your own conclusions I'm sure . Enjoy .

Sister Sacha, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

God CHOOSE you before the foundations of the world: You CANNOT lose your salvation since you were CHOSEN, because you salvation is not up to you; but GOD.

Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath CHOSEN US in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.

Ephesians 1:11 In whom (in Christ) we have obtained an INHERITANCE (to become a Son of God), being predestinated according to the purpose of him who woreketh ALL THINGS after the counsel of HIS WILL.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he that began a good work in you WILL PERFORM IT until the day of Jesus Christ.

John 15:16 You have not chosen me, but I HAVE CHOSEN YOU, and ordained you (to be priest) ........

1 Peter 2:9 For you are a CHOSEN generation, a royal PRIESTHOOD .....

Exodus 40:15 ....for their ANOINTING shall surely be an everlasting PRIESTHOOD, throughout their generation.

May the SPIRIT reveal his TRUTHS to us, God bless you.

Thinking more about Daniel Ch 12 V 2 , I suppose that those who are raised to condemnation could be the Israelites who witnessed Gods miracles when He brought them out of Egypt and led them through the desert for forty years and yet they still moaned and misbehaved and didn't trust Him , and those Jews who were alive when Christ was amongst them and they heard and saw him and knew who he was and yet they still rejected him and therefore rejected their own God who had sent Christ to them . That would fit but I worry that it's me that's making it fit because I want it to .
  • English Sacha - In Reply - 2 years ago
Hi , I totally understand what you are saying but how does this hold up against Daniel Ch 12 V 2 ?
  • Earl Bowman - In Reply - 2 years ago
Sister Sacha, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Daniel 12:1 And at that time: (prophecy) the coming ministry of Christ, in the FLESH for forty two months; afterwards the ministry of CHRIST THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT; which has been going on now for two thousand years.

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael: Michael is the MESSENGER (angel) of GOD; CHRIST is the MESSENGER (angel) of GOD. Michael is Christ and Christ is Michael.

Malachi 2:7 For the priest's (Christ is our high priest) lips shall keep knowledge, and they (priest's lips) shall seek the law at his mouth (Christ mouth): for he (Christ) is the MESSENGER (angel) of the Lord.

Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel (messenger of the Lord).....

Revelation 12:7 ....Michael (CHRIST, messenger of the Lord) and his angels (ministering Spirits, messengers)......

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael (Christ) stand up, the great prince (Christ) which standeth for the children of thy (God's) people: and there shall be a time of trouble (has been going on now for two thousand years), such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time (when you can enter into the kingdom of God) thy people shall be delivered (saved from death and the grave), every one (chosen to be a priest) that shall be written (IN CHRIST) in the book (IN the WORD, IN CHRIST).

There is TWO RESURRECTIONS; the resurrection of the saints, both those of the old testament (at Christ resurrection) and those that are born again (that share in Christ resurrection, so they never see death).

Daniel 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth (all those that died before Christ resurrection and those not chosen in the AGE of grace) shall awake, some to (age of the ages) life (those in the FIRST RESURRECTION), and some to shame and (age of the ages) contempt (SECOND RESURRECTION).

You can NEVER understand the prophecies without understanding there are TWO RESURRECTIONS.

Hi Curious, Yes you can lose your salvation. It is seen in many places in the scripture where people fell out of favor with the Lord including King Saul who was tormented by evil spirits . Also Yah says that you must remain in him, if you don't you are cast off and you must be re-grafted back in. So don't let anyone tell you, you can get saved and live like the devil.
  • David - In Reply - 2 years ago
Hi Kent The reason why in the old testament they could lose the spirit it was upon them not in it was conditional we are born again we didn't earn it, it is Gods gift God gave it unconditionally now an individual can choose to walk in the old man nature or be tricked and think what he's doing is walking by the spirit or not really be born again but the gifts and calling of God God doesn't take back. I know of a popular musician who is born again and chose not to walk in the faith believing anymore that's not Gods fault. Let God be true and all men fall short of the glory of God, we who choose to believe sin daily in some way but not on purpose totally different situation, we ask for forgiveness and get back to fellowship. It's the ones as it says in the Epistle of 1 John that they think they don't sin and call God a liar that are deceived.

Curious The term is born again, so the question is actually is God going to take back that which he gave by Grace and freely and that his son paid for. Let God be true in James all gifts of God are perfect and he does not take them back Now that is not license to do what you want because the wages of sin is death if you decide not to walk by the spirit you will not receive anything spiritually no fruit. Also you make what christ died for in vain not good. You cannot sin in the spirit God gave you but in the flesh absolutely. You always have the choice because God isn't going to control you you have freedom of will to do his word or not. Why not do the word when you know you needed Gods help to begin with? Think about it!
